GFY is usually pretty cool. I suspect it has as much to do with working in the game development business, it's an industry where stupid execs and marketing people fuck with the lives of hard working developers, scrapping all their good work and forcing them to supply day one DLC content, QTE's, and other shit. Sadly, it's an industry where the people working there don't have a very long shelf life before they get burnt out.

^ this, a friend of mine is in his second year of videogame art/design in Vancouver and already starting to feel burned out. I asked him how he will feel when the real pressure of the industry will keep him working 14 hrs/day, 7 days a week, and he has no comment

it happens. I mean, you could still lurk but that's not really fun without getting to sink your teeth im. Actually participating in threads requires ... what do you call that.. leisure time and a stress free mind. When I first got my new job, what little time I had during the adjustment period went to other things, I purposely avoided this place mentally and physically.
