I wouldn't pay that, especially since I need to buy a fucking $1000 HD enabled TV too to be able to take full advantage of it.

1 Extra Wireless Controller = ~ $40
4 Launch Games (@$60/ea) = $240
Memory Card so you can take your saves with you = ~ $30
Remote = $30
Insurance on system (@EB) = $50
Total = $810 + tax (>$40) = $850 on the rim; out the door

Don't need the extra controller, don't need to take save files with me, don't need a remote as I have a DVD player, will only get 1-2 games when I buy it, and the price will drop considerably by the time I decide to pick it up. Even £400 is cheap. Your getting well over a grands worth of harware. Great CPU, great board, fantastic ram and a graphics card that beats anything we have now, or probably will have in the next year.
The price is "supposed to be" around £180 for the xbox, £120 for the rev and £220 for the PS3, these are the UK launche prices that the companies have said they would be happy with.
And i don't know about you but thats a good deal for the cpu/board alone.
