From a tech point of view it's managed in a draconian way. It boils down to how much you own what you buy. With Apple, you don't own shit. Apple owns it and you pay Apple for the privilege of being allowed to use it. You think it's yours but it isn't and if they decide they want you to upgrade by making apps that simply won't work on your older device, because potatoes, then that's their prerogative and there's fuck all you can do about it other than fork over another 800$ - 1200$ in order to continue getting fingered.

True, Android phones also have limited functionality based on hardware specs but at least there's a physical reason you can't run certain apps as opposed to it being purely engineered that way. Overall Android phones are more open to modifications. This is primarily how innovation happens too as people have more liberty to play with their toys and will be more likely to come up with new ideas since they don't need permission to do it from Apple. Oh and that's another problem, if your idea is so good, Apple might just not give you permission and then make it themselves and reap the profits.

At this point ppl who still buy iPhones are dumber than Trump supporters... By far... Moron alert!!!...

Personally I can't get over the moronic black bar across the top of the iPhone X. Watching videos or viewing images is going to look terrible. Deal breaker for me.

I'll buy an iPhone 8 and wait for them to fix the black bar...

I have nothing against Apple. They make quality products. I just can't stand the Apple zealots who blindly dismiss anything that isn't Apple purely on the basis that it isn't Apple. That's just dumb.

I think you all are missing the point. The S8 or whatever else doesn't have one of the most appealing features that has always been the main selling point of the iPhone. iOS.

iOS is the worst part of iPhones... The whole Apple ecosystem is pathetically bad... Google's ecosystem is superior by far... Unless ur a moron...

BTW... The real main selling point of iPhones is Snapchat works better...
