Apparently the FBI and police were tipped off to this kid multiple times over the past year or so because of his disturbing behavior. Legally they weren’t allowed to do anything about it and somehow he could legally buy an assault rifle and a mountain of ammo on his 18th birthday. Great system you have there.

It's not backwards. It's just that everyone considered what keeps them in power. Voting against a gun ban pleases the NRA and in turn the NRA supports you. That's how it works.

Which makes it backwards, it's not confined to gun law.

Does everyone in the US just sit on their couch and watch TV witnessing these mass shootings, go "thoughts and prayers" then just say or think: "it's not the guns, don't regulate the guns, it's the video games, the rap music and the violent TV shows?"

Like a lot of people in here are saying, I think it's become so common place it's just accepted now and people move on, like an unavoidable consequence of living in pure freedom.
