Searching as you do, I see there is a John Wick: Chapter 5 in pre-production.

People are hating way too much on The Matrix 2 and 3. They weren't as brilliant as The Matrix (mostly due to people now knowing what tThe Matrix is), but they were fine and enjoyable movies. The biggest problem with part 3 IMO was they focused way too much on Zion and too little on The Matrix itself.

I thought so as well. But this video recently changed my mind - I think actually the whole story hocus pocus is alright but the fight scenes are bad:

Many, many re-writes will do that. The first was so tight that the studio didn't really care what was put out as they knew it would make money. Blame the studio, not the writers.

There's some ongoing inspection whether there was a "wrap up"-party that broke Covid-rules or if indeed that whole thing was a scene filmed for the movie.
