I don't know that I'd go so far as to say he's "vile", but even giving him the benefit of the doubt, his comment was pretty shitty. Even if he didn't know there were kids on board, the chopper doesn't fly itself, so Kobe was obviously not going to be the only casualty.
I hesitated to bring up the rape allegation against Kobe, even though it was the first thing I thought of when I heard he died. To my knowledge, it's the only allegation against him, and I can't in good conscience condemn someone for one unconfirmed accusation. It's when there's a pattern of behavior that I write somebody off. But I don't follow sports, so I don't know what the fully story is with him. He seemd to be doing the right thing with him money lately, supporting communities in need. Hopefully it wasn't blood money. I dunno.

Guy played basketball for a living and people talk about him like he was greater than Nelson Mandela and Malcolm X put together.

Pretty sure Kobe apologized for the rape incident. Not something innocent people do. I would still say that doesn't warrant death as a repercussion but I do think Ari was just doing his shtick and trying to be funny. I don't think what he said about Kobe reflects on the other people onboard either. They were all tragic deaths at the end of the day. Some more than others...

Yeah because he got caught, but lucky for him he was filthy rich with his own personal team of lawyers and PR agents
"Good news Mr. Bryant, our early focus group results are showing 78% favourable opinions nationally if you apologize publicly and put lots of balls in hoops, so to speak. Bonus points if you win a championship of the basketballs within the next few years."
I had no idea who he was and it's just weird seeing people treat him like some kind of saintly world-changer. Flavour of the week I guess.

In this modern world, everyone follows sports, watches sports. I am also fond of watching Cricket, Basketball, and Football and that is why I read
online news on a daily basis.

I used to program AIML bots and set them up in chat rooms back in the 90's. The amount of people who swore up and down they were talking to a real person was sad.

Probably because of the masterful way you programmed them.

Not at all, if I was giving you that impression let me clarify it for you. AIML itself is a mostly complete application, you can add stuff to it, which I did, but overall it's fairly complete. If you've ever talked to a bot online like alicebot chances are it's using AIML. That said, that wasn't why people thought the bot was a real person though, it's mostly uneducated perverts from third world countries who refused to believe it wasn't. I really wish I still had those chat logs.

aiml is a language (based off xml) not an application.

You can tell him, MKJ, like what the fuck man. He knows the man that made that shit. Probably sold him drugs too back in the 90s.

Back on topic - did anyone see the coroner's sketches / report of Kobe? Jesus Henry Christ in a sidecar. Not for the faint of heart.
