Wow... That's actually a pretty good idea. Makes even more sense in a cyberpunk setting.

Might have to be disabled for some overseas markets, though.

Also: Neckbeard outrage incomming.

Yeah they'll have raytracing. I'm still getting it on the PC though.

Time for a new video card! And I need a bigger SSD. While I'm at it, I might as well fill up the rest of my RAM slots. :paranoid:

I've got a 1060 GPU and 16 gigs of RAM for a 1080p display but an (8th gen) i5 CPU. Hope the CPU isn't going to be the thing that makes me fall short of the "recommended" column.

I've got a 970 GTX and 32gb of ram with a good SSD and a 2700x (though I have a 5900x on the way, apparently)

Santa gave you a preliminary delivery notice? :)

I ordered one on release day but my credit card company blocked the transaction...then I had to do a security check before the payment being authorised. So instead of getting a CPU right away, I am now in a queue...but it should be on it's way soon

Dude, I told you to stop using those stolen credit cards. Old 80 year old grannies don't order high end CPU's and Real Dolls™ anymore.

Still have no reason to upgrade running 1440p 144hz on an i7-7700K and 2080 Ti, but I'm planning on a 5900X and x570 when the hype is down and stock is up. Maybe a 3080 Ti as well :ninja:

My machine struggles with 144hz @ 1080 hence the upgrade to a 5900x

strange that cyberpunk is making a comeback when it's becoming increasingly clear every day that the promise of online freedom hinted at in the early works of William Gibson nearly 40 years ago will never be kept, and that what was imagined as an anarchic space of limitless possibility has transformed into a dystopia of total surveillance to which we have acceded of our own free will and indeed almost enthusiastically
