The more footage they show the more stoked I have become.
This is cinema-stuff right there!
I can't wait to see it just for Charlotte Rampling as Bene Gesserit.

I'm sure a few chapters were condensed down into one-liners. There are a lot of books.

I’ve done that with other films and had a great cinematic experience. I’ve read Dune, so I don’t feel like I’m spoiling anything by watching the trailer…

this is a two-part adaptation of one book, *the* book. there's literally no excuse for cutting corners (which isn't to say the suits won't force Villeneuve to do that anyway)

Oh, then there's a lot of room for sequels. TBH I haven't read all the books, but I'm leaning toward picking up the collection in hardcover if I can find them all for a reasonable price. :ninja:

I really enjoyed the book series, some folk like to slate the later Frank Herbert novels but imo you should make your own mind up, I got a lot out of them.
I've yet to read any of the Brian Herbert & Kevin Anderson-penned material so no comment on those.

all the Frank Herbert books are good. the Brian/Kevin extension of the Dune saga is pretty wank
