Unfortunately true - shame, it seems like a good game apart from the lack of MMPORGNESS...MaCaBr3 wrote:Technically it isn't, since you can only do quest and missions with a limited party and the only way you come across other players is in the cities, ur right.SOAPboy wrote:
Its NOT a mmo..
Maybe that will chance in add-ons, I doubt it tho.

Its alright for people who dont want to pay to play.. but the fact is, most of the community, sucks, its children with worse additudes than the idiots here.. and well lets face it, it gets old quick.. :-\
I think it's a good thing. Guildwars might not be a MMORPG in the classic sense of the word, but it doesn't have or want to be an MMORPG.LXS_work wrote:Unfortunately true - shame, it seems like a good game apart from the lack of MMPORGNESS...MaCaBr3 wrote:Technically it isn't, since you can only do quest and missions with a limited party and the only way you come across other players is in the cities, ur right.SOAPboy wrote:

Well it just has a more realistic look to it. I personally fucking hate WOW's stupid cartoon look. The elves ears are like wings.Grudge wrote:too bad EQ2 lacks any kind of style
The same is true in worldcraft - in fact, its nice to occasionally meet up with people mid mission, save their life (or them yours) and continue on together - much easier to find parties that way, TBH... You get all the trade stuff aswell, obviously...Eraser wrote:SOAPboy wrote:

As far as I've seen the GW community is FAR more civilized than the Quake 3 community, unlike World of Warcraft, which has very recently seen over 50.000 accounts banned for cheating.
I've seen people trade honestly, invite each other to play together in missions or come up with interesting services they provide at a certain price in gold pieces or special items.
Up until now (and I've played quite a bit) I haven't really seen anyone use bad language (and no, my bad language filter is not enabled).
And? at least bliz is doing something against cheaters..Eraser wrote:SOAPboy wrote:

Its NOTHING like that on PvE servers.. your friend, most likely picked a shitty PVP server and is getting ganked constantly.. cry me a fucking river..Eraser wrote:I think it's a good thing. I like the fact that I can travel across the landscape and attempt Quests with a few friends or a select group of other players without being interupted by not only annoying pricks, but also serious players who arrive at the quest item just minutes before I do and I have to wait ages for it to respawn (a problem that, according to a WoW addicted friend of mine, is very annoying).
GW on it's own is very well balanced, has a number of intuitive gameplay elements and tricks and a well designed and intuitive interface and it's got awesome graphics to boot (an area in which WoW is significantly lacking IMO).
Thanks but no.. i played GW from closed beta to retail.. owned alot of people, and got beat down by some people.. then again, the only time i ever lost in the arenas was when it was some fucking korean clan..MKJ wrote:jesus christa lot of residual anger in that boy innit.
