Anyone knows where the game stores the saved games?

[EDIT] Found out myself: it's the GTASAsf1.b, GTASAsf2.b, GTASAsf3.b...-files under C:\Personal Documents (sp?)\GTA San Andreas User Files\.... So if you -as in my case- want to continue the game on a different PC just copy those file(s). Do NOT change gta_sa.set which is in the same folder. This would result in the game freezing during start.

...just in case anyone cares.

My donkey is grabbin it, torrents arent workin for me. But Ive got days waitin for it. Im impatient, so I just wanna go pick it up. But at the same time $50 for a game is something I cant really justify. I wish it was only $30. :tear:

Come on guys, peer pressure me.

sound advice
people complaining about it being 20 bucks more than they 'want' it to be. youd prolly spend those 20 bucks on beers anyways :)

it also shows support to the devs :)

I paid £32 (Amazon) for mine & not regretted it.
I originally got a *back up* of the PS2 version and immediately stopped playing it the moment the PC version was announced.
With all graphics settings cranked up on full its fucking luvvly!
Keyboard & mouse controls are better but very fiddly to get into at first, but definately use a joypad for high offroad BMX use :icon14: .

Go out & buy it, its well worth it.
If the PC SA is a conversion of the PS2 game, I cant imagine what the next-gen GTA will be like

Just my 2 pence :icon26:

Well SA is all I plan on using it for. I don't plan to make this a habit. I already own it on the PS2 and don't feel as guilty as a result. :p

Same here.
I specifically told the girlfriend not to buy it for me, and then I got it for x-mas. :icon22:

It's hard to play, because either my TV really sucks, or the minimap is just fucked up. I can't tell what any of the icons on it are. Didn't have the problem with GTA III or GTA: VC.

It's hard to make out on a crappy analog set. The icons are small enough as it is, and the TV just makes them worse.

UPDATE: Thank you Psyche911. Called up my local CompUSA, and sure enough $30 bux. They only had one left, so I hurried, and picked it up. Woot $20 off. :D Also, I went with my friend, and he said he would buy it for me, since its my Birthday on Friday. So whoo, hoo free game for me. :D But then took it home was installing it, and the power went out. Its been out for 4 hours, just barely came back on. So anyone who wants it, go down to CompUSA, the deal goes on until the 18th. Happy Birthday to me.

BTW: Dr.FrasierCrane, I have a Super Joy Box from Lik Sang, So I play it with my PS2 controller. ;) Played through all of Vice City on my PC with my PS2 controller and loved it.

Yeah, some day I'll get a console controller adapater. Now I might as well wait and see if the Xbox 360's controller is any better.

I bought the Logitech dual-action clone, and it's totally buggy. Fucking piece of shit. Then I bought some Belkin one with a dumb handle on it, and the ergonomics of it are kinda fucked up, but it works at least. :(

Can anyone who has SA for the PC tell me how the keyboard controls are compared to the PS2 controller? The only advantage I can think of off the top of my head is for aiming with the sniper rifle, which is a pain in the ass on a console.

How anyone can play a FPS with a non-N64 controller on a console is beyond me, but that's a whole other can of worms...

The control is completely different.

But if you mean list how it's better (other than aiming) that's really a matter of opinion. I like looking with a mouse. It's quick. Other than that, some things suck with the default setup. Like Enter to use a car, it's all the way across the keyboard from your movement keys. And when you're working out or something and have to alternate either LShift or LCtrl and Mouse1, it's awkward, because the keys and mouse buttons have such a different feel.

But I'm sure you could plug in a controller to your PC and configure it so you could use it for some things and your mouse/kb for others.

you can press "F" to enter a car, it's right next to the WASD. usually you can access the Left Control, Alt and Shift buttons using your little finger on your left hand, already aligned above WASD (although alt is kinda tricky)

I thought I'd like the kayboard controls, but they suck for everything except for aiming. Unfortunately, when you switch from 'Mouse+Keyboard' to 'Joypad', it disables freelook from the mouse. So I can't switch back on the fly. :(
