how are you going to approach these kids tnf?

If it was me, i'd call em into my office 1on1.

have em sit down.

ask em if they know why they're here.

Make em squirm just a little.

give them a chance to come clean

ask em why they did it, etc.

did they actually think they'd get away with it.

find out what was going through these kids' minds.

then slap your caq across their eye.

Really didn't do much except to single on out in front of everyone and say that I found their bit on the development of the Chandrasekhar limit to be quite fascinating, but wondered if he'd be willing to explain a bit more about how iron's high binding fraction is involved. He sat, silently, at which point I launched into my "the papers you get online suck, don't use them in the future" bit.

I remember my chemistry teacher told us that our lab papers were worth 40% of our grades and that it would be impossible to pass if we didn't do them. Well I didn't and I passed the course although she failed me anyway. She told me I had to do 3 of the labs that we had done throughout the semester and she'd give me a passing grade so I went down to my locker and got 3 that I had already done and hadn't passed in. gg

Its obvious that your education didn't reap many benefits, based on the sheer lack of any mastery concerning even the most basic tenets of science in general.

Yeah well you can critisize me all you want tnf the fact is science and physics aren't really that important to me. I enjoy thinking about it once in awhile and I'm certainly curious about the subject but the reality is my time is far too occupied right now to put any time and effort into studying the subject intently.

That being said I have many other attributes. For instance I'm an excellent cyclist. I've raced along side world class racers and won. Most of my youth was spent training my physical body to race. Now if you would like to take a day and hop on a bike and go for a ride with me I would but I don't expect you to keep up with me. However, I won't belittle you for not being able to keep up with me in the same way you belittle me for not knowing certain things about physics, a subject you TEACH.

I'm not saying I'm dumb at all. I think I'm reasonably intelligent I just post things I find amusing on this board. You guys just take things way too seriously. Heaven forbid I should ever say anything on any subject I'm not a complete expert in here otherwise all hell breaks loose. Grow up fatman.

You are always trying to spout off your shit as valid in some way, shape, or form (for example using the "I know, that's what I was saying" or "my theory is not much different from the one you just mentioned" argument when faced with the facts)..

And, Kracus, I don't want to turn this into a physical abilities pissing contest (not even sure how it got there...you've always opened yourself up to belittling by not simply listening to the fucking EXPERTS in here who have tried patiently and FUTILELY to educate you on subjects that you've asked questions, or had 'theories' about) but I don't give a flying fuck if you have raced with and beat the world's best cyclists. Show me some race results online with your name at the top then. Even if you did, I wouldn't give a flying fuck one way or ther other. I don't care if you can pedal a bike faster, the mere fact that you've tried to turn this into "Kracus the dumb jock who just isn't into that thinking stuff" is absolutely pathetic and hilarious at the same time. I can bench press more than you, even after neck surgery. I can do more pushups. I can curl more. I could (before surgery) dunk a basketball. I can hit a golf ball over 300 yards. I was the team captain of my basketball team as a sophomore. I've also written a funded research grant, written material for textbooks, blah blah blah blah blah. AND GUESS WHAT...I AM SMART TOO. The only way I'd really belittle you about any of the above is if you maintained your persistence in ignoring any and all advice from someone who knows more...

But you know what Kracus, none of the above matters, because it has nothing to do with the fact that you have painted yourself an idiot again and again in a fashion that was 100% preventable had you just been willing to show that you had, at least, the ability to take in information, think about it, and spit back out a worthwhile, educated point of view.

Listen I have a list of shit I've done in the past long enough to make an impression too that wasn't my point. My point was why should you belittle me everytime I talk about a subject that I might be curious about? I'm not even upset you do it, I just think it's a little childish comming from someone who's supposed to be teaching kids.

If you're upset that I said the two theory's are similar then that's part of your problem man. Instead of freaking the fuck out about it, like you've just done, you could just ask why I said that, or pursue the discussion instead of instantly just trying to make me feel stupid, which you'll never do cause I realize I know very little about the subject to begin with which is why I'm theorizing things on my own. Since I have other things to do all I CAN do is think about it and talk about here once in awhile while I'm at work. I'm not going to spend the whole day reading some site filled with mathematical formulas or a school physics book while I'm at work cause lets face it, that would be extremely boring and you know it. That's why they have people like you. To TEACH these things cause to most people it's boring as fuck.

I don't mind being corrected if I'm wrong. It doesn't mean that I won't ask more questions though you have to understand the reason I ask more questions and the reason I my questions are in a challenging manner is because of the way I'm generaly treated here and I want to know why I'm wrong. I don't care for someone to tell me how it is and just take it. I need to know why. So if that's so stupid to you then you're a pretty poor teacher.
