Not when you have smaller hands. Its horrid to use...
I have big hands and it doesn't work that great. I definatly perfer my PSP

I'd definitely say that big hands are a disadvantage. Small hands can still use the stylus (I don't have particularly small hands but I do prefer the stylus over the thumb strap). Big hands will only get in the way of the lower screen, blocking your view.
