Guessing wrong has nothing to do with it.
I'm just saying philosophically that, if uncertainty is a fundamental aspect of reality (for example, being unable to predict mathematically what a particle is going to do in the future) and we understand that it is unpredictable, by nature, then we understand reality and can't predict the future. So being able to predict the future is not a requirement for a true understanding of the universe, in that case.

Wait a minute..what the fuck I am still doing here...
Ok done.

Moth to a flame. It's the innate teacher in me. I need to silence him.

I dont read and post here much these days, but is it just me or does kracus have this like cycle of topics he just shifts around and reposts in slightly different wording. Its like he has a interesting in 1 major thing and just regurgatates it over and over and just changes it enough for him to not remember or something and therefore feels like its some new deep thought. Its like he discovered this 1 thing he thinks is really cool and just beats it over and over and over like a dead, dying, died, horse. Its like he found this one thing that so wild and out there, he just looks at it from different angles and repeats it. Its like he just had this one moment and thought, hey i never looked at it that way, thats really awesome and picks apart saying it over and over again, just slightly differently worded.

Im not trying to flame or something.

I'll admit I don't know the specifics. Whether it's to do with bouncing photons or not I've no real clue, but I've heard it many times. But even you have to admit, whether we're observing or not only one thing would happen right? And we can observe what happened right? Even if our observation of what was happening affected the outcome. What I'm saying about individual reality's isn't really that far off from that. But that's just my view, how do you view reality?

A mirage is reality to me. I was once stranded in the middle of the sahara desert, miles from civilisation, with the heat beating down on me and sand blowing in my face. All of a sudden I saw this massive pool of clean sparkling water appear in front of me. I struggled towards it and drank the whole pool.

The end.

Oh no sir, my reality was that it was water.

Mind you, the next time I had a wank, I remember completely flooding my room. So you could be right.

I see what you're saying but perhaps that's just part of our limitation. Are you certain we aren't? My point is that the ability to predict has nothing to do with our ability to predict acurately. If you know something is going to happen and it can be one of two things you have the free will to choose which you think will happen. You might be correct or incorrect it doesn't matter. You however CAN choose to guess an outcome. So it does indeed matter because that ability to choose may have as much of an affect as the fact that your observation of a phenomenon changes it as well.

As comical as you're trying to be that's exactly what I mean. Reality is what we individualy observe to be true at any given moment. It only applies to us so it's unique to each individual and their observations hence each individual has his/her own reality. Whether our observations correct are a whole different matter.

Looks good but it's not my question. I understand some people have a good understanding of the universe, I'm asking how you people perceive reality. What does it mean to you? What is real and what is not in your mind? Do you beleive there is more than what you can see, is it more mystical than scientific IE: god.
