No doubt. Everyone bitches about 'ricers' and now someone is doing a damn fine job of tuning a car and there are still complainers. There's nothing wrong with performance mods on a civic. I've seen a lot of 11-13 second Civics at the track. That would kill your average high-end non-exotic sports car. I'm not saying they would handle as well but with suspension upgrades I'm sure it wouldn't be bad. I saw a GT race the other day where the Mazda6s were spanking the BMWs and Benzs.

But weight and aerodynamics are also a large factor as I doubt exotics require the same amount of power as trucks and muscle cars to achieve every day speeds.

The Murcielago gets around 13mpg so I guess its not a huge difference.

im sorry, but going to a 2.0L Turbocharged engine, Gaining 80-100HP, And SAVING 2-5MPG on gass.. that just is a no brainer.

We'll, the EG chassis ( That looks to be a coupe ) is one of the ligher Civic Body/chassis's..

A friend of mine Rolled his EG hatchback at 160km/hour ( thats 100mph.. you yanks ) he was knocked out for a few mins, got out and watched the thing go up in flames.

i dont know about you, but i feel thats impressive for a unibody Econo car.

i think Riddla has a hatred for foreign vehicles.

a race car is pretty different from a tuned road car, with a race car the actual car its based on is pretty irrelevant, they all have similar power/weight.

If he is building something to race at the weekend, then although it wouldnt be my choice of car, it should be fun.

Tuning something to use as a daily driver is pretty risky though, my friend had a tuned RX7 which was fast as fuck, shame it was off the road half the time, waiting for the engine to be rebuilt.

IMHO the only major tuning that is worthwhile is transplanting a more powerful standard engine into your car.

What do you think this guy is doing? In case you don't understand what a K24A2 is, it's basically a 2.4L with ~220hp and ~190lb-ft torque. Imagine that in a Civic, who was made with a 110hp 1.6L.
