Haven't start it yet, working on the plans take a lot of efforts,
engenering...It is not a NASA thing but just a goofy project I have since I was a real little boy.
Have you seen the article about the Japanese working on a not close but similar project from deep down the sea the lowest point
of the thickness of the earth surface crust.
Thing is even if the crust of the earth is thinner at that point, I woudn't try to dig it from a sea platform, It is not just like looking for oil. Man, imagine the infrastructure they have to go trought.
I want to do it inland.
