because the story has come to an end? :)

and during dev theyobviously couldnt "just" change the course of the game, since BG is so fucking huge and the AD&D rules call for so much preperation its not as easy as replacing a q3 level with another ;)

the course of the game gets changed all the time in many games during development, and still would be even easier than starting voer from scratch which obviously is done most of the time even without an engine. This is no excuse, only laziness.

luckily you have no idea how much time goes into writing a campaign :icon14:

and besides, they did change it, the player went to the Throne of Bhaal instead of Planescape. it still adds up nicely

they make ad&d games all the time. So I dont see whats the big deal of them making a third one considering how many people wnat it and the profit theyll make.

well they cant make a third one now since the story ended.
they could make a third one but only by name or summat.
its also good they didnt go any further or the chars would get to such a high level its no fun anymore and really hard to translate into a computer game.

The GOTY edition of morrowind on the Xbox was pretty stable; and Bloodmoon was a much more manageable game, so might appeal to people who didn't get through the main quest - but I had a serious morrowind addiction back in the day.
