A lot of people would say it's a bad idea, on your first day out of prison, to go right back to stalking the tranny hooker that knocked out five of your teeth. But that's how I roll..

Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest

10/10

Even better than I expected, I was really excited about the giant squid in the trailers and the Kraken just blew me away. Great action start to finish, great score by Hans Zimmer. This movie surpassed all my expectations and I enjoyed it very much. It also helped watching it in the largest movie theatre in all of Europe :)

Can't wait for 'At World's End'.

utter rubbish. pretentious premise, script that tries too hard, semi-competent direction, and some abysmal acting thrown in

plus jason statham's pisspoor american accent makes another ill-fated appearance

lol wait, what american accent? I assumed he was trying an english accent.

The effects when the Kraken attacked the first time were absolutely terrible. I understand that at times they are trying to get a Pirates of Caribbean "ride" flavour in the shots but that was just terrible.
It looked like when Luke Skywalker fought the Rancor.

A Scanner Darkly - 6/10

Most of the points are for the way it was created. I wasn't too keen on some of the actor choices.

Not to mention, I was pretty tired when I went to see it so it made it hard to follow. I'll really need to watch it again.

The Kraken attacks were some of my favorite scenes, I thought the special effects were magnificent :)

Looked pretty amazing when Will fell underwater and saw that beast in whole :icon28:

My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Had it's moments but overall pretty disappointing. At least Anna Faris is great eye candy.

Agreed. Looked great if you watched it in 1980 and for a lot of years after that. Watch one of the great special effects movies from now in 20 years and see what you think.

has anyone seen M. Night Shaymalmadingdong's "Snatch in the Water" yet? The reviews I've seen have been uniformly bad.

Match Point
Probably the only Woody Allen film I've liked.
It is rated R, but you don't get to see the hotty's tits.
I guess I'd give it a 7.

He was on the daily show. he said it wouldn't have a twist ending. (or "paradigm shift" as he likes to call it)
