It was more than derivative - it was a rip off an older movie.Nightshade wrote: I can agree that it was somewhat derivative (Logan's Run), but I thought it was decent for what it was. Not great, but not complete shit.
(haven't seen either, and haven't heard updates on this issue)

also, it's been over a year and i can't find anything regarding an injunction. i certainly agree with the Logan's Run ripoff though - and it was a better movie.1979's "Clonus," aka "Parts: The Clonus Horror" available on DVD from Mondo Macabro, $19.95..
nah it didnt upset me. ben stiller is occasionally funny. owen wilson is a tool.Captain Mazda wrote:Looks like one of the worst films of all time upset MKJMKJ wrote:zoolander. terrible

No comments on Lucy Liu tits?Hannibal wrote:Miami Vice: 6/10. I wasn't bored, but I wasn't impressed either. No characters to speak of and a cookie cutter story. Gorgeous cinematography and a capable job by the two leads. Too bad they didn't have a better script to work from. I'm a big Michael Mann fan, so this was a bit of a disappointment.

Best movie I've seen in years. This movie would make Anne Frank laugh. :icon14:
just barely above average.
no where near the calliber of the original. (yes comparisons must be made, a sequal has to live up to the original material)
they used actors from other movies in new roles which is counter to the storyline that has continued over muliple movies.
there was so much opportunity and setup for jokes that just never happened.
the jokes that worked were fantastic... which kept the movie's head above water. however the weak performances and overall themes of love and friendship was a bit too happy scrappy hero pup for my taste.
kevin smith has proved the fact once again... once you have a family, the person you were is dead.
(so far dave chapelle is the only exception to this rule i've seen)
