The Firm 8/10

Gary Oldman as a football hooligan.. Pretty good, its old, bit dated compared to Football Factory... Liked it all the same though.

Snakes On a Plane: 7/10
Pretty good and funny. I was surprised by the level of gore.

Inside Man, 6/10 MUCH better than I expected, although I don't think that the flashforward scenes were used very well. The subplots were interesting, and I was guessing right until the very end of the movie. Plus, Jodie Foster looked pretty damn hot (although I never realized her nose was quite so...DrUMB-esque).

Saw a lot lately due to flying.

Lucky Number Slevin: Interesting, but not necessarily good. Loses it's direction and it's too inconsistent with itself.

Inside Man: Pretty good. Reminded me of Chaos, only not terrible.

Miami Vice: Pretty good, beautiful cinematography, good soundtrack, well directed, but very straight forward script. Note: I have not seen Heat.

13th District: Great martial arts action movie directed by Luc Besson, and produced by the same people who did Ong Bak and Transporter 2. Stars the little white guy from Kiss of the Dragon (the one who breaks people's necks with a 540) and David Belle (pioneer of Le Parkour).

Domino: 5/10 I think there was a hot chick in this, and maybe even a story...but Tony Scott is proving himself to be a one trick pony (note: said pony inhales 5 crack rocks and a gallon of Turkish coffee before arriving on the set each day).

What the fuck was up with the part where he runs to the bank? (after the execute a hostage)
Looked like they put him on some platform and pulled him towards the camera.
It looked really fucked up because he wasn't even running

Also, how come Spike Lee makes joints instead of movies? Is it because he's black?

Yes. The primitive mind of the negro is obsessed with marijuana abuse, pigs feet, and schemes to defile virginal Caucasian females.

A Scanner Darkly - 6/10 The style was headache inducing, dialogue enjoyable. Plot wasn't carried through to as full a conclusion as the book and really felt like it was nowhere near an ending when it finished.

Snakes On A Plane - 7/10 Alright, made me laugh for the deliberate b-movie cheese that it was.

Running Scared 7/10

Paul walker flick ( fast and the furious guy)

...Not bad flick...decent violence....Got too disturbing for Red near the end...I promised her they would die for what they did...and they did. ( not a spoiler)
Not a great film...but worth renting to see.

The Squid and the Whale: 7/10. Good indie. Could've been a wee bit longer...little bit too much dangle at the end.

the ride

7.5 / 10

a good movie beautifully shot. i might have given it a bit higher score but those czech men wear short shorts and it effects the whole balance of the film.
