It'll be a fucking tragedy if hamilton doesn't take this years championship in the next 2 races.

that race was damn entertaining.

Hamilton: his only two Japan GPs have been so traumatizing he will probably spend the rest of his life in fear of hello kitty.

Masa: glad he got the penalty for his dick move over the grass to punt hammy. but then he did some nice driving to get the car into the points. Though i'm not sure that he should have gotten 2 points... that incident with bordais looked pretty even on blame.

Alonso: did a fine job of seizing opportunities to win his second race in a row. he won this race in classic fashion and was in control of it from the first pit stop.

Kubica: always impresses how he can make that car look so much faster than hiedfeld's. The war with kimi was excellent entertainment.

Raikonnen: season is over.

the STR cars get another they've been doing incredible given the situation of tiny budget and not going to be a team next year.

that incident gets even more fucked up if what the dudes on the speedtv commentary were talking about it true. That the rules say the 25 second post-race penalty can only be applied if the incident is in the last 5 laps of the race.

I haven't read this whole thread, but has anyone heard about the cancellation of F1 in North America?

The Montreal GP is toast unless the government takes it over. That's what the organizers have said since they claim they are really in the hole in terms of cash....mostly blamed for lack of cigarette advertising...which is illegal in Canada. Perhaps that's why the track has been falling apart?

They also canceled the F1 events in Indianapolis.

Indianapolis, good fucking riddance. What an awful track that was anyways.
Would suck to see Gilles-Villeneuve get canceled though. As bad as the road conditions are, it's always been a great GP.

yea, not the 1st time its happened to massa either, i think it was spa ? for an unsafe pit release and with something like 12 laps remianing, got investigated after the race..... utter bollocks i tell ye

and yep was gutted to hear about the canadian gp, they mentioned it in pre-race build up i think..... fucking f1, grrrr

Can't say I was happy with the results of the race, nor with Hamilton's girly whining, but at least it's keeping the championship close.

Much. I don't care for oval tracks in any form. I want a race in the US, and more importantly so do all the major car manufacturers that sponsor F1. I wish they'd improve Watkins Glen or some other worthy track, fuck these stupid street courses and rovals.

Infineon would be a smart choice IMO.

haha.. that track is a piece of shit, and being in the sticks north of SF isn't exactly the kind of infrastructure F1 is looking for.
the only option on the west coast has always been laguna seca, which needs the least improvement. through the only thing that would probably ever work long term would be someone with tons of money and something to gain (Steve Wynn or other big Vegas Developer) doing what every other country has done and working with FOM to build something shiny and new that meets all of their requirements.

Oh and the China race was pretty solid.
All Hamilton needs to do now is not choke in Brazil. If he's smart he won't challenge and just bring it home safe on the podium. He'll probably be young and do something stupid like let his cocky competitiveness get carried away.
Should be interesting, Massa is hard to beat in Brazil and if he wins with lewis out of the points that little Brazilian ball of emotion is going to explode. Tears guaranteed.

Apparently, hamilton only has to come 5th place in brazil to win the championship. What I'm worried about is things like the car breaking down, a tyre bursting, someone smashing into him or him making a mistake.

lol, I spent the whole race waiting for Alonso to get close enough to Hamilton to torpedo him.

And yes, Laguna Seca is the best opportunity for a really great F1 track in the States. Too bad Bernie and Max keep coming up with bullshit reasons not to go to decent venues.

Bloody hell, poor David Coulthard. His farewell race in F1 and he's out of it after the first corner! He crashed out early last race didn't he? Lewis in 4th though, that's good.

This is nerve wracking. Hamilton was down in 7th, came up to 6th, and now is back in 5th. Gotta stay there.
