Yeah it's new. If you're interested I got this one because I'm an Asus fanboi and it's got slightly higher clockspeeds. It's replacing a 6950 and is going in an x99 i7 5820k. I did quite a bit of reading and I honestly don't think Pascal is going to be out in 2016, and even then it's going to cost a fortune and only reduce the price of the 980 cards by £100 or so. I also have a few months off work coming up and so I can fit in some major gaming and need a card up to the task immediately for that.

I sort of have to run two computers at the same time, one at work (I'm freelance) and then one at home, currently I have a Geforce 770 in the other PC (i5 2500k), so if Pascal comes out then I'll maybe think about upgrading that one in a couple of years.

This looks like it may be a PC purchase for me. Depends on where DayZ is at the time of release. But I would definitely enjoy some nostalgic Q3 style game play.

Is anyone not playing this on PC? You might as well collect your things and leave.

The multiplayer is looking more and more like Quake 3.

It actually looks like a cross between Halo and Quake 3...

I'm assuming the melee is going to leave you vulnerable to gunfire. It's really the only way to make it work...
