LOL

Germany wanted it more - simple as that

Capello "Right, we need a goal quick....who have I got that could change thing...Lennon..hmmm no - issues with crossing. Crouch? Good touch for a big guy...but no. Ahhhhh Heskey!!! Not scored since 1723 but he will be perfect! Get him on!!!"

Nice one Fabio

they deserved to get beaten, and germany played really well - but one of the worst things about that decision was the aftermath, where the ref seemed to be trying to give england something back with generous free kicks that ultimately just exposed how bloody awful their defence/preparedness was.

Correct result would be 4:2, shame on the refs. But imo there's no doubt GER winning was just. Lions were quite weak in comparison...

by all means, with 4 goals ze germans deserve to be where they are... but there is something to be said for the english self esteem going into the 2nd half with a 2-2 instead of an unfair 2-1

maybe, but the krauts were still pegging them back, its true England shouldve had 2 goals but the germans shouldve been well ahead anyway, they shouldve had more than 4 :/. im sorry but anyone who says that a 2-2 scoreline at half time wouldve changed the outcome of the game, id have to tell them to pull the head out the arse, because it couldve been 4-2 at half time, England were just completely over run and Calamity James was one of the better players, imo

i do, an I've seen them play, but the germans look so comfortable, calm and calculated... I wonder sometimes if they have even broken a sweat yet, throughout these finals.

, i still think theyre off from winning it but they have every chance, my monies still on Spain / Argentina. That is a young squad though, i thought before the tournament that in a few years it would be pretty deadly but i wasnt expecting them to switch it on at this one, i was surprised that a squad thats pretty new played so well together, fucking Germans.

Ive had a little think, i think the problem with England is the sheer lack of creativity, its the only answer i keep coming up with after pretty much every game and the bad news is i cant think of many creative english players. England's biggest loss was Michael Owens legs and Ryan Giggs birth certificate.

Edit - And im also blaming Terry for the entire team folding faster than superman on laundry day

edit 2 - lol, i think the argie game has just proven how video replays can be used

But yet more evidence of TV replays being needed

Shearer got it right when he said give each team 3 lives as it were
