that's pretty much what I meant by my post....you have to wait to see where they go with this and at what point gellar died/was killed, because a whole lot of shit doesn't make sense if he's been dead the whole time. Even if he was recently killed I feel like some shit is backwards, but I guess I'd have to go back and watch closely. I remember that the waitress in the restaurant, that Travis liked, completely ignored Gellar, and now the shovel in the face makes some sense...

I dunno. Like I said again, can't comment on the end of episode twist, gotta wait to see what they do with it.

It definitely makes more sense than old man Gellar being some sort of hyper-galactic ninja assassin able to materialize in and out of buildings.

This season is basically like the Bates motel. Gellar has been dead since the beginning of the season but Travis believes that Gellar is still alive and is his "Ma Bates", doing all the killing. I saw this coming since the episode with the car. For someone as calculating as Gellar, there isn't a reason why he would ever enlist someone as incompetent as Travis to help him with the task of murdering a bunch of people. No one has ever seen or interacted with Gellar since the beginning of the season. The only people who saw Gellar are former students and faculty (like the former student that Quinn slept with), all well before he left his position at the faculty before the start of the season.

Victims:

Fruit vendor: Travis hits him with a sword.
Runner: Travis hit him with a rock.
Waitress: Travis leads her to his place after a date. You don't see how she ends up being rigged to the angel of death.
Car hit: Travis was in the driver's seat, the only thing Gellar did was "push" Travis's leg down onto the accelerator. She doesn't actually see Travis or Gellar, though she does describe hearing two people. *cough*Bates*cough*
Travis's sister: Tavis rides by and sees when Deb interviews his sister. You don't see how she dies.
Professor: Dexter is stuck in the elevator and Travis somehow ends up at the top floor while the professor is captured.

the ode to psycho season...

the girl hearing two people (though she might have just heard him referring to someone called 'professor'? I'll have to go back and check) and the sister killing are what have me confused, but obviously Travis' dark passenger is different than Dexter's and he appears to just be schizo. Also, the way Travis has been able to puppet master Dexter has been kind of ridiculous given that he couldn't predict Dexter, hmm. Probably gonna have to watch this season right thru to figure that out, parts of it seem off but I could be remembering previous episodes wrong.

It's just bad writing. It's almost like they wrote the plot with two separate characters in mind and suddenly decided to change it to a one-man operation.

Oh and Batista's sister is pretty hot

So Dexter turned into Fight Club. Right.
