Though you do sacrifice the protection, you gain an invaluable peripheral view and unobstructed hearing that is highly beneficial to a rider. So where your helmet may save you in an accident, not having one on may prevent it all together.

The study proved what I said. You lose vision and hearing when wear a helmet. But in their study of 50 people they concluded it wasn't enough to cause accident. You believe what you want. Wear a helmet, don't wear a helmet. What the fuck do I care? I have a helmet that I wear when I deem necessary from a "statistical" standpoint.

Statistically speaking you have a much better chance of getting injured walking (1 in 600) than you do riding a motorcycle (1 in 800). Now consider over 2/3 of the motorcycle fatalities in 2015 were wearing a helmet. How valid is your helmet argument anyway?
