Just like your "National Safety Counsel" study. Which BTW indicated helmets did in FACT impede sound and vision. But in their study of a whopping 50 riders helmets didn't impede sound or vision enough to cause accidents.

For a helmet to conform to safety standards it needs to have visibility beyond the peripheral vision anyway ?

You can eat the soup enemy though, sucking up its beneficial properties like Highlander.

Not in a statistical meaningful way, which in practice translates to no averse effects.

Oh, and....

YourGrandpa wrote:Though you do sacrifice the protection, you gain an invaluable peripheral view and unobstructed hearing that is highly beneficial to a rider. So where your helmet may save you in an accident, not having one on may prevent it all together.
....which one is it, Gramps? Does not wearing a helmet prevent accidents or not?

The study proved what I said. You lose vision and hearing when wear a helmet. But in their study of 50 people they concluded it wasn't enough to cause accident. You believe what you want. Wear a helmet, don't wear a helmet. What the fuck do I care? I have a helmet that I wear when I deem necessary from a "statistical" standpoint.

Statistically speaking you have a much better chance of getting injured walking (1 in 600) than you do riding a motorcycle (1 in 800). Now consider over 2/3 of the motorcycle fatalities in 2015 were wearing a helmet. How valid is your helmet argument anyway?

Fuck off already...

We're just concerned about you, gramps. We don't want that one day we have to wonder where you went and then have Geoff post a link to a news article that says "biker's face smeared across pavement, no sign of brains" where we have to ID you by the unnaturally large size of your head.

Way better than your article, "Lonely social reject kills himself by autoerotic asphyxia while beating his microphallus to anime porn".

Cheer up loser. :olo:
