Apocalypto - 9/10
Absolutely stunning movie. First movie I've seen in a long time that I actually thoroughly enjoyed in the theatre.
Same here. It is really well executed.

Syriana- pretty good movie which demands you pay close attention if you don't want to miss anything
fearless- good flick with some snappy martial arts. It's an interesting story supposedly based on reality, which accounts for the somewhat weird ending I guess.

AVP - 8.5/10
Much, much, much better than I expected. Lots of action and fast-paced. Acting was mediocre but the Predators more than made up for it

Nice to see they combined some of the gimmicks from 'Predator' and 'Aliens' and incorporated them into it, such as Predators using camo stealth and hanging up their prey feet-first. Cool movie.

Did you see the Alien skull in Predator 2? It's in the collection on the buried ship close to the end.

I can barely remember Predator 2...I was but a wee lad when I saw it. The only thing I recollect is a big nigger fighting it.

Yeah, I surprised even myself. I just really liked it, no matter how obscure some parts were.

When I first saw it years ago, I spotted it and thought it would be a cool fight to see. Apparently that might have been the idea for it being there.

i found avp to be a gimmick hollywood movie.. there is no class at all compare to both originals.. if you don't remember them do yourself a favour and watch them so you can revise youre score to around 4 or 5

I haven't seen AVP. I'm not going to lose any sleep if I don't. I'd probably watch it if someone else put it on or something.

i think they added that part rather due to the comics of AVP which are pretty old so i checked online and they came out a year before predator 2 with that alien head scene..

AVP was one of the most disappointing comic-to-movie conversions I've ever seen. Right up there with unbreakable, x-men, etc.
Best comic-to-movie was Sin City, and even then the comics are so much better.
Uhm, and to make this a relevant post, the last movie I watched was:
Raising Arizona 9/10
Seen it many times. Never disappoints. The scene with John Goodman coming out of the ground.

I'm re-tabulating my score and giving it a 7 :/
I didn't know it was a comic btw.

You changed your opinion on the movie because people told you that you should.

Also imo AVP isn't anywhere as near as bad as people make it out to be. It was never going to be as good as Alien/s or Predator 1, plus it was directed by Paul Anderson. If you're familiar with his work then you know to never get your hopes up about anything he directs.
I was just appreciative to see a new movie with Aliens and Predators in it.
I'd give it a 6.5/10 rating, which to me still indicates a halfway entertaining movie.

Huo Yuan Jia was Jet Li's master in "Fist of Legend", who if you saw that movie, you may remember was defeated by a japanese who poisoned him. This movie is about his exploits, and is based off a true story. Though the descendants of the real Huo Yuan Jia sued the movie makers, because he didn't have any affairs in real life (or something of that nature)

Tell me some good Jet Li movies to watch feedback. Only decent one I've ever seen him in is Kiss of the Dragon.

Fist of Legend is his best. Ying xiong was good (Hero), and you have to see all the Wong Fei-Hung movies (Once upon a time in China 1, 2, and 3)
