A Christmas Story - 8/10 as long as I only see it once per year.
Which is tough considering how often its on this time of year.

potc 2, again.

far too long. at most half of whatever i gave it before.

bothered me the first time that it seemed like they'd made a lot of the film before they even had a script - after watching the dvd extra fluff, it turns out that they did make a lot of the film before they had a script. still looking forward to the third one, especially as it's being made with more than release date in mind.

edited because of shitty censoring.

Bad Santa is fucking great. my ex-gf used to call me Store Dick :icon31:

Okay, Clerks.

Not Clerks 2, Clerks. Is the second half of this movie better than the first? I've started watching this movie 2-3 times and have never gotten through it.

I want to watch it and then check out Clerks 2. Will I miss out on much if I skip the rest of Clerks? Why don't I like Kevin Smith's movies? Everyone else seems to think they're great.

Here's an idea. Instead of wasting your time watching the first half of the movie for the fourth time, go straight to the second half of the movie and watch from there.

Well the viewings were scattered over a long period of time (the movie is 12 years old) and I hadn't seen more than 10 minutes or so of it until I watched the first half of the movie the other night. So now the question is whether to watch anymore at all or not.

Just watch it or you'll be forever wondering.
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.

I watched that too. Kicked ass in Dolby Digital with the crackling coming at you from all directions. Very immersive experience.

Its the channel that lets you watch plasma on plasma if you've got the right type of TV. ahahahahah.

I thought it was pretty entertaining other than some rather painfully cheesy lines. The book is part of a trilogy so, depending on revenue from this one, there may be another two.

Eragon
cheesy Lord of the Rings rip-off that failed miserably.

let me break down that 8
1 part homo
1 part really fucking stupid
2 parts really fucking disgusting
2 parts pretty funny
2 parts really, incredibly, absolutely, nearly crying, fucking funny

I think I saw raw's brother in the extra features.

The Descent: 7/10. I like this Neil Marshall fella. Certainly the best horror film I've seen in the last 5 years.

Shortbus - 8/10

this movie isn't for you if you're homophobic or uncomfortable with sex and nekkidness--a lot of it.

once you get past the aphrodesiac of an orgy movie the underlying story is actually pretty good. it's an interesting change of pace from the more recent movies i've seen which was a nice refreasher. highly recommended if you're looking for an off-beat drama.

That movie follows the recent trend towards having 'real' sex in movies. Sook Yin Lee (who happens to live in my neighborhood) has a 'real' orgasm in that movie. I haven't seen it yet but she's hawt.

Sex scenes in movies are lame unless it's a porno.
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.
