yeah I found the last scene highly uncharacteristic of the show. this stupid cliffhanger plays at the lowest common denominator, and yeah someone please come up with a scientifically sound reason why nobody got as much as a graze, before I lose respect.

Well...ya see...it was swamp gas from a weather balloon that was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.

As it was presented, it looked ridiculous. But I'm willing to give them a little slack after considering a few things.
1) It was shown in slow motion
2) The same points in time were shown from multiple vantage points
3) The SUV provided much more cover than it looked like
4) The distance was a little farther than it looked
Now if you're shooting for target practice the bodies would have still made for very easy targets, however I can't imagine how hard it would be to take a steady, accurate shot in the middle of a mexican stand off. The nazi crew should have all had a shot dialed in and the first trigger pull should have hit at least some part of someone, but I've seen some decent marksman miss easy opening shots plenty of times too.

Let's also not forget the totally bitchin shot of Hank unloading his Glock at the camera (what? 8 rounds fired?) without even so much as moving. He stood there, out of cover, pulling the trigger like an idiot and yet didn't get so much as a single enemy leadshot ball touching him from the carefully aimed and full-auto shotgun that unloaded in his direction and set off the shootout to begin with.
Like I said, the single dumbest moment in the history of the series.

The writers and creators of the show have a history of fucking with the viewer so I wouldn't pass judgement before the next episodes.

I think that was probably one of the best episodes of the whole show.
Todd's uncle was earlier foreshadowed as not liking to wear a mask while cooking. I expect Walter is forced to cook for them and kills him as they killed crazy 8's friend in the beginning.
Can't wait for next week.

Hank tricking him into revealing the location was brilliant... but then the end scene was fucked.

jesse came up with using Huell to find the money. that's where his plan stopped, and Hank's plan of questioning huell began.
"what are you doing with that brain" -jesse
prrrretty easy to follow.... walt confessing to everything was coincidence as well.

Then the trail went cold with the rental van GPS. Hank said its over and Jesse said no it isn't Walt doesn't know there wasn't a GPS.

I meant Jesse came up with the idea of going after what Walt cares about most: his money. That doesn't make him the most important piece on the board, but he's not a pawn, either.

Isn't it the running joke where Walt or someone else will be freaking out and Jesse will be the one to say, "uh... guys... guys... hey, I have an idea... uh... how about magnets... GUYS! FUCKING MAGNETS! I KNOW HOW THEY WORK!"?

This is a later development in the series. The last couple of seasons, Jesse has emerged as a problem solver whereas it was all Walt previously. That's my impression anyways.

When is Walt Jr. going to find out that his dad's a drug lord? Guaranteed to be an epic scene: "d-d-d-dad, you you you make me s-s-s-so angry".

Hank set it up but it was Jesse that let him to it is what I mean.
Never underestimate Jesse in this show.

Jesse pointed out Walt's cash stash as potential evidence, and how Huell could lead them to its whereabouts.
Hank did the rest and turned it into a clever trap, with the fake blown out brains pic to convince Huell to give up info about how and where the cash was hidden, and fake burried cash pic to lure Walt.
I'd say it was a 25%:75%-Jesse:Hank-effort.
