it might be tough to push through the first book since you know (with some exceptions) what happens to whom. But once you get beyond where the TV series is, you'll cruise through the rest pretty quickly.

Ohhh, another wonderful episode

I'm enjoying the hell out of the scenes between Arya and Tywin, it's like this elegant dance of smartness, both constantly trying to outflank each other.

Oh and i'm thinking Snow is going to meet the ex-crow-become-king and realize that his army of wildlings might be the answer to the blackwatch lack of manpower. Maybe...

And how awesome was the Warlock? And is Jaime now missing a penis, his tongue or simply his head? Hodor? Why do the wildlings have such superior camouflage? Will the scenes with Robb and his foreign floozy ever be not annoying? Questions questions!

I agree, best scenes so far

That would be a bit cliche uno?

Well, it's white.

And I'd tap that.

But what happens when Theon's sister arrives? Surely Theon will not be able to protect his fledgling brother-in-captivity for long, unless they're far gone and in that case she's going to piss on his parade so hard his teeth will come out. They might as well, look at that horse mouth of his.

I dunno why, but Theon looked like he was disgusted by the charred bodies himself. For just a moment before the episode ended he had a "what have I done" look on his face. Maybe that was unintentional, but maybe he's finally realizing that he's taking his "look at me being a hard ass" show a bit far now.

Yeah I was thinking about that as well but it's no big deal. It might be nice to get a season 1 refresher.

So I started reading the first book and you know what really distracts me? The age discrepancy between the book and the series. Ned is in his late 30s in the book. Sean Bean is in his 50s. Dany (a childish sounding name I dislike) is 13 in the book, yet played by a 20-something year old in the series. Jon Snow is 14 in the books yet in the series I'd put him at his early 20's. For some reason all characters in the book seem far too young. Maybe it's because I'm used to the TV show characters, but all characters seem too wise, intelligent and adult for the age the book gives them.

Actually, if Daenerys is 13, Khal Drogo is a huge pedophile

lol, plus the show would be dreading in lulzy waters, cause there is definitely a lot of sex appeal in that character (at least in the tv show)

Children would essentially be forced to mature faster in an era with constant war, primitive medicinal knowledge and the consequent low life expectancy. It was like this in real life not too long but I don't think they could have made it happen on the show for various reasons. Easier to just raise age across the board and be done with it.

Funny fact: God's a pedo. Mary was 12 when she conceived Jesus.
