So I have decided I need to get my arse back training after letting work get in the way of my health for about 18 months.
I have set some goals and I am partaking in a comp with some peeps.
1. I want to be able to row 2k on a Concept 2 rowing machine set at 8 on the resistance in 7 minutes ny the end of the year. Base row was taken on January 17th and I did 2k in 8:33.00. A test was completed today and I did the 2k in 8:01.8. Expected early improvement - the hard work will come after I get down to 7:45.00
2. I am going to try and get as close as I can to 400 meters in 1 minute on a Concept 2 rowing machine set at 8 on the resistance. First test was done 2 weeks ago and I managed 318 meters from a dead standstill in 60 seconds.
Other goals including;
Getting my squat back to where it used to be; I did 7x1 at 120kgs the other day without too much hassle, so I will be dropping the weight by 10kg and maybe going for 3x5 or 5x5 if I am feeling strong. Goal is to get 5x5 @ 150kg by year end.
Being able to do 50 pull ups unbroken (this might be a big ask given I am struggling with 5 currently...but I expect the strength to come back.
Getting Push press back on form. I used to be able to strict press 70kg @ a body weight of 76kg. Hoping to get back to that sort of level.

Killed it in the gym tonight. I've been making progress across the board. The 225lb flat bench felt light tonight, so did the 65lb over head dumbbell press. I was also surprised at how easy the 330lb seated dips felt. I think it's time to kick it up a notch... I don't really have any specific short/long term goals. I've already hit my 300lb 1RM on flat bench. Now all I want is to get stronger and a little bigger.
