I pre-loaded the open beta. Multi-mon support doesn't look good so far. Can't even pick system resolution in the graphics, it just tops out at 2560x1440.

No SLI profile either? Oh well

Why don't they realise the big money to make is on optional cosmetics, not this pay2win small content bullshit. Look at the Valve model on hats in tf2 and dota. They make billions on microtransactions. God damn it.

The main trouble with this Doom DLC is that it'll cut the multiplayer community in two camps: those with and those without.

And I'm sure some suit thought that would be a great idea because it forces the latter camp to empty their purses so they could continue playing with the (potentially larger) first camp and not miss out, but in reality, it's just a terrible, terrible idea.

I think it was a great move for John Carmack to jump ship after Rage. id Software is now in Bethesda/Zenimax's clutches and that'll ultimately bring doom to them. (see what I did there?)

Not too many modders on Xbox one.

I just got done playing a few rounds and it's not too bad. Feels very quake ish and the movement is pretty good despite the lack of strafe jumping. Gotta get used to these maps though.

Well, I'll eat my words... The game plays SO much better this round, they've add'd the FOV adjustment ( thank god )

Its not exactly like quake was ( still not as crisp ) but its WAY closer than it was last time, Also my FPS seemed to have picked up.

I'm still on the fence if i want to get it or not due to this DLC BS... We'll see.

The game maybe has more potential as a sp game. mp is kind of fun but the game elements get in the way of it being really good as a competitive fps.

The multiplayer is way too slow paced, I'd rather play doom 1 and 2 with or without mods
