Borat - 6/10 Funny, but there was some SERIOUS fag0try, and it was far more gross than funny. I was howling through many parts, especially the "Running of the Jew".

It just wasn't as good as I expected.

300 - 6/10
It looked pretty but the story was very flat, dialogue was terrible, and characterization was completely out the window.

Casino Royale: 6.5/10 I dug it. Story meanders a bit too much, but Craig makes an excellent Bond. I hope they don't ever go back to the quippy, faggy Bond.

Unfuckingbelievable...one of the best action movies I've ever seen. For anyone who is still on the fence this is definitely worth seeing in the theatre or, even better, in the Imax.

Borat - Same opinion as Nightshade for the most part.
I was a bit suprised at how far they two guys went with the naked fight after he caught him making hand relief to Pamela.
Also, I know some of that movie was a legitimate spoof on the people involved - ie. they didn't know they were being duped by a character playing Borat, they really thought he was an eccentric guy from Khazakstan (sp?).
But does anyone know how much of it was completley scripted? For example - the end at the book signing - was Pam in on that you think?

I guess if it had an interesting story, a strong ending and a great main character you'd have rated it 14/10.

Clerks2 - 6/10? Maybe 7. Funny in parts. The jail scene was good.

Casino Royale - 4/10 Don't get me wrong here, I think Daniel Craig is an excellent choice to continue the Bond franchise, but what the fuck was going on with this movie? The plot struck me as horribly disjointed, the dialogue was fucking awful, and my wife and I were both wondering if we were watching the end of the movie over coffee this morning. It just wouldn't fucking end. Some great action scenes, the parkour was worked in very well, but overall the film fell flat.

Casino Royal was good between the Parkour and the end of the Poker match. The Parkour was retarded and everything after the Poker match was just silly.

Nightshade is right. Casino Royale went about 20-30 minutes too long. Since they left it as a cliffhanger anyway they should have completely left out the entire Venice sequence.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to point out that Jackal is correct.

Jackal and Nightshade are wrong.

Jackal is factually incorrect in his previous posts .

Warriors of Heaven and Earth - 6/10
Acting, scenery, and story were, for the most part, great. Camera work, special effects, and the ending were crappy. So a compromise between the two seems appropriate. I enjoyed it.

300 9/10
I liked most everything about it, couldn't find any fault to it, it was more about that battle than anything else, I think people are looking for a plot where it doesn't belong.
as for the dialog , it sound as if they took it straight out of writing maybe that's why it doesn't appeal to a 21st cent. audience
ps
the closing credits ownt!

Yeah, plots don't belong in movies.

Yeah, every good movie ever made had a fantastic, deep plot.
