I just saw a video last night about flash flooding in Vegas and it rained every day I was in Arizona (Sadona, Flagstaff area). It even rained a little at the Grand Canyon.

It usually was beautiful until 1 or 2 in the afternoon and rained sporadically until 3 or 4. Then it was beautiful again. Overall the weather was quite nice. It was in the 60s at night and high 80s / mid 90s during the day.

It's monsoon season in the Southwest... Afternoon rain showers are also common in Colorado... But we got lucky and missed rain accept for a storm that hit while we were in Silverton...

Speaking of Colorado... Just booked flight and house in Breckenridge for Dec 30- Jan 7...I will dominate that place....

Awesome. I've done a lot of boarding there.

I don't know if they still do it, but I used to get the 3 resort pass for Breckinridge, Keystone, and Vail. It's really the way to do it, cause Vail is really nice (my favorite), Breckinridge has some cool boarding trails, and you can ski at night at Keystone, which is really fun...

Next trip will be to either California or somewhere in Europe and then a trip with just the wife to somewhere in the Caribbean (Punta Cana/Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands).

obsidian: I see, thought you had been there before because of your other photos. I guess a shot like that would be hard for a regular person.

One of my favorite things about driving out west was the huuuge open spaces with the mountains in the background, the flagstaff pic reminds me of that. So awesome seeing a storm miles away in the distance.
