I think the m60 is for the nazis, the ricin is for gretchen and elliott, and walt ends the series as 'dillenger' in jail (as saul put it). his ego won't let him kill himself.

Jesse does throw a wrench in the mix as walt might have softened to him in the past few months, so maybe it does kill walt. Walt saving Jesse only to have him turn on him would be acceptable.
