Yeah, because Shaw hasn't played for two seasons in the Prem

Neither has Lallana, the Captain of the team that Shaw came from and also in the PFA PL team of the year, or Rickie Lambert, or soon to be (possibly) Loic Remy and Lovren

On top of top young talents like Markovic (and hopefully Moreno) with the Suarez money still yet to spend, for a squad that unlike united didn't need an overhaul in the 1st place.

Perhaps it'll rock the boat too much? I was thinking more about Can etc than the other established Prem stars

I forgot about Can , I think he will take the Lucas role depending on if he can recover from his hamstring injury, last season he couldn't be relied upon in place of Gerrard.

We had to buff up for the CL, our squad was paper thin last year even without Europe. When Sturridge, Gerrard, Enrique were injured last season we could've done with players better and more established than Cissokho, Moses and Aspas. I think we would've walked the league tbf. Would've had extra points in the bag from Hull and Aston Villa atleast imo.

I'm more concerned about the lack of Euro experience more than anything, I'd also like a big name signing but I'm happy with our business on the whole.

This is also a team that performed to title challenging standards when Suarez was banned at the beginning of last season and during injury after Christmas the season before.

I think Remy is a steal n all, check this out, goals over the last 2 seasons -

Suarez - 0.81 goals per game
Sturridge - 0.72 goals per game
RVP - 0.65 goals per game
Aguero - 0.55 goals per game
Rooney - 0.52 goals per game
Remy - 0.5 goals per game
Dzeko - 0.48 goals per game
Lukaku - 0.48 goals per game

The scouse will still have the highest scoring individual and combination players at the start of the season
