Henry's are the best >:(

I knocked mine down the stairs a few months ago. He hit just about every step on the way and was still running at the bottom. He's picked up tonnes of building rubble and plaster dust and still soldiers on. Good luck with that, overpriced Dyson!

We use a Shark. 5 years and not one problem. Best one we've ever owned. Thing is a fucking trooper.

You just need to change the filters in them and check the brush, then they are good to go again.

I don't know if I have told the story where one day I was in our car park basement and about to vacuum the car after a wash and my #2 Dyson blew up. My #1 ended up at the tip/dump months before. They Dyson didn't explode but emitted so much thick smoke I couldn't find my car, the motor still doing thousands of revs and screaming... I didn't panic but managed to disconnect the power lead after groping about for it on the floor.

Now being an apartment complex basement, I thought shit, smoke alarms!!! Moments later I heard the first sounds on the alarms being triggered... I opened the garage roller door and the smoke cloud dissipated slowly. I then ventured outside to the footpath to wait for the fire brigade to arrive and they did minutes later :smirk:

I am now on Dyson #3 now and have a cheap vac for the car.

You'd think you might try another brand after 2 were pieces of shit?

We had a dryer go nuts the other night. Started grinding, then we shut it off and the heating element was like 'naaahhh lets just go full tilt and catch fire". That was pretty fun.

Hey thanks for the video PhoeniX. I like his style. I saw another of his; was it the Dyson (expensive) hair dryer. Yes and here it is :)

IMO, they are not pieces of shit for my money. The original was purchased way back in mid 1990's, the DC02 model. I have always been one to buy early any new technology :smirk:

I forget why it died but only got rid of it in the last 2 or 3 years. I inherited the next model, the purple & yellow hepa filter one. My Dad was going to chuck it in the bin and I said I'd have for parts back around 2005. I took it to the Dyson repair shop and it was a simple rubber seal replacement costing about $15. So I now (then) had two Dyson's.

My third and current (only) is maybe 10 years old. I walked into the electrical retailer one day and they were having a half price Dyson sale. I couldn't leave without one :D

TL;DR I have owned 3 and yes, I'd buy again.

Quiet, lightweight, less indoor air pollution, only have to empty the dirt container every 6 months.

I still have nightmares about the rattling sound Lego bricks make when they are sucked up the vacuum's pipe :tear:

Easy enough to pick out something through the clear dirt bucket. Not that it would be worth it for a lego.

Worse thing i’ve noticed so far is if someone shuts it off instantly instead of letting shit flow all the way to the unit that shit will build up in front of the inlet closest to the main unit. It’s kinda in a dumb spot though (low point right before main unit) and more from bad design in the pipe run. Also it’s usually just heavier stuff like cereal swept up from the kitchen vac pan.

I usually just stick the vacuum cleaner directly into the Lego box...

Vac3World.

I did another 186 mile ride Sunday. We road out west and then north through farm land, cow pastures and swamps where there were almost no traffic lights. Then we headed back east and road south down the Atlantic coast. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Temps were in the 70's and the sky's were blue.

Yes, it was starting to look like a vacuum forum :paranoid:
... and your bike rides, I'd love to do them and there :) like you have done recently. Perfect weather and no traffic would be the bonus.

I have relatives, my Aunt & Uncle staying a few days. They are from the UK <-

Oh, and the nose is a little tender, thanks for asking :D
My Aunt & Uncle from Dover in the UK start their return trip/flights Thursday. They have been here a month. I intend to 'see them off' at the airport on Thursday and an early flight. NB: Everyone deserves to have someone at the terminal to see them arrive/depart IMO and I was there for their arrival so I plan to make the other.

Oh, and the nose has healed well. A good looking Nurse (they all are aren't they?) removed my 5 stitches a week or two ago and while the area is still a little red I report for your information, I haven't lost my good looks :D

Not sure if the above pic will show up but I also have been riding up in Canada. Might not be as warm but god damn you don't get cold riding that thing, I never thought dirt bike riding would be as physically demanding as it is but it's a ton of fun. Also, yeah who says it's just for video games.
