Looks like a great time Κracus
I'm hoping for snow in Minnesota the next time I visit, to be able to bring out the snowmobiles.

Nah I've been a bit more cautious around pools of water I can't see through. My main challenges are the hills and avoiding boggy areas. I've got wheelies down pretty good at this point so roots/tree logs aren't too much trouble. Short bunny good are on my list to practice next.

Snowmobiles are so much fun but it's such a short timeframe to get to use them and I live in Canada! I've pondered getting one but I can't commit to it at the moment. I might get a cheap used one some day. Problem is you need a trailer to get them to a good spot, an entire suite to stay warm etc... I dunno, they seem like such a huge investment for so little playtime. I can't wait for the first snow so I can take the bike out and have some snow fun with it though.Lieutenant Dan wrote:Looks like a great time Κracus![]()

I did another 186 mile ride Sunday. We road out west and then north through farm land, cow pastures and swamps where there were almost no traffic lights. Then we headed back east and road south down the Atlantic coast. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Temps were in the 70's and the sky's were blue.

Not sure if the above pic will show up but I also have been riding up in Canada. Might not be as warm but god damn you don't get cold riding that thing, I never thought dirt bike riding would be as physically demanding as it is but it's a ton of fun. Also, yeah who says it's just for video games.

I have no idea what bullocking means...
I actually booked this afternoon off work due to the nice weather so I can get some riding in. Can't wait.

Good thing you're not a US Navy fighter pilot
Re: What is new in your little world?
yeah but it's still a microaggression that triggered a passing canadian PTSD survivor so in that sense it's actually kind of rape

Re: What is new in your little world?
Today I had a little clean out. I dumped or shredded some old school books and other memorabilia
I even had some resume stuff including a few letters of commendation from a number of politicians of the day. We are talking the 1980's here. Remember I foiled that escape at the prison on a night shift? I've told you about it here I am sure.
There were some other letters of commendations for actions in the jail riots of the day. I must tell you some day of the special squad I was in way back then. It was designated 'Charlie Squad'. There were 4 of these emergency response squads with ten prison officers in each. Think of those videos with the French riot police squads you've seen on TV and you'll get my drift. I vividly remember dressing in my batman suit, blue overalls, a Police utility belt, riot helmet, shield and baton and not to forget my special (ex regular Australian Army GP) boots. Wish I had photos to share.
Speaking of photos, I met up with an old Prison Officer work mate at the last reunion. Jock was a feisty fellow in those days. Well blow me down, he did have a couple of photos of the era and they were of the aftermath of a large riot, more correctly of the days after... Nice to see...
I am in my early 60's and I've been carrying the school books around since primary and high school days: Believe it! 50 odd years at least
Look, I've been meaning to get rid of these for years. I have been here 5 and the previous home 12 and before that near 20. These hand written essay, social studies and maths books, brown paper covered with hand cut pictures pasted on homework books were near antique.
Oh well, they're gone now.
