I rewatched it coming up to the end episodes and it is p. great. It flows really well when you watch it quickly. I noticed minor changes in lighting etc. from the first season to others but overall it went together well. The early seasons were almost a black comedy with a lot of relaxing, getting to know the characters time. The later seasons turned more into a drama with some funny bits and went heavy into action and shit going down.

Been ignoring this thread for some time now. I completed season 5 yesterday. The ending of the show is kind of taking the safe road though, but that's probably for the best.

One thing I still don't understand is why he shot Mike in episode 7. Mike wasn't any danger to Walt was he? Then Walt says he regrets doing it because he could've gotten the list of names from Lydia as well. What's up with that? Why does that change the situation? Walt wanted the list from Mike and at that point Walt didn't realize Lydia had the list as well, so by shooting Mike, didn't he make it impossible for him to get the list of names? I was thinking that the realization of Lydia having the list actually made it "OK" to shoot Mike because the information isn't lost yet.

Yeah I kind of assumed that was the case, I just found his apology odd because he made it look like he apologized because he could get the list from Lydia as well, so because of that Mike died for nothing, while I think that was the case regardless of whether Lydia had the list or not. Wikipedia seems to make a relatively big deal out of this apology as well. Anyway, in the end it's not that important.

I don't understand the morons who complain about the pacing of the series by the way. I think the series was brilliantly paced. I loved the seemingly useless aesthetic shots of the New Mexico deserts and everything. Can't have an enjoyable series if it's turned up to 11 all the time. It's all about dynamics.

Yeah, Mike chewed him out and put him in his place in that scene. Or he as least scolded him like he was a child for not knowing his place. Walt might not have reacted the same in previous seasons, but this is Meth Empire Kingpin Heisenberg hew was talking to now.

Mike never had any respect for Walt and he finally got to lay it all out. What I wonder is if Walt had planned it, knowingly taking the gun from Mike's bag, or if that was just precaution and he killed him in the heat of the moment.

That said it was Mike's fault. It was an out of character moment for him to allow Walt to bring the bag over Jesse. He killed himself really.

Isn't this series over? Shouldn't you be moving on with your lives? Why would you continue to play make-believe with fictional characters?

Getting a life might be in your future. Not sure though.
