If you weren't so dumb, you could root the phone and customize it any way you want. Since you're more of a simpleton and don't understand how things work, an iPhone would be perfect for you.0psys wrote:I was running whatever came with it. I think it's called jellybean/baby?
I mean it was OK, it was intuitive, but it was also needlessly complex. What I prefer about IOS is the fact that it's locked down, and you can jailbreak and then open the phone up how you want it. Android is like ios jail token out of the box with all the extra apps installed. There's just too much to fuck with and there doesn't seem to be a central point where changes are made. It feels really disjointed.
Oh yeah, you bring up a major point about Apple. If you have a software problem with your iPhone, you're basically fucked, because people who inhabit apple forums have never solved a software issue in their lives. Half the time you google your problem and you can't even bring up another person with the same issue because they're generally too stupid to google a fix themselves. Really frustrating.

Re: iPhone 5
Of course I wasn't talking about the cost with a new contract, you'd have to be a blithering idiot to do that. What I was talking about was the price of the phone on its own, and before you launch into the "lol no one pays full price lol" argument (like the dolt you are), yes, they do. Look how many fucktards line up at Apple stores at every new iPhone launch. They're buying phones without contracts just to get them. Plus, it highlights Apple's pricing in general. Way too much money for too little functionality. Expansion? Fuck you. Replace a phone battery? Fuck you. Spend less than an arm and a leg for a moderately powerful laptop? Fuck you. But you'll get some beautifully designed, sexy looking stuff. I think we call that...superficial, yes, that's the word. Not to mention impractical and inefficient. Oh, and don't forget stupid.EtUL wrote:Lol just went to look up prices, my phone is now free with a 2 year contract....more expensive lol.
Of course the only reason is that they have them on the shelf, it's a 2 year contract, and apple have given up on them, but still.
Now will you please stop proving that you're extraordinarily hard of thinking and let the adults talk, please?

Re: iPhone 5
Yeah, Jellybean is the latest release. In Mazda's crude way, he's right about rooting the phone. But that's where the real complexity starts. There's a lot to learn, but last time I checked there was a pretty simple root method out there. There's tons of ROM choices, more customization than you can shake a stick at, to be honest. I got tired of fucking with them all, it just became most of what I did with the phone. Always a new ROM, new kernel, this or that app or skin to try out, different tweaks to make, etc. Once I found a setup I liked, my Evo eventually started acting wonky (no idea if it was due to my tinkering or not), so of course I had to go find the default ROM and flash it back to make sure they would replace the phone.0psys wrote: I was running whatever came with it. Meh, it all depends on what you like and what you want to do with the phone, I guess.
I don't have any firsthand experience with technical problems with Apple products, but I've never heard anything good about them. I just can't trust an organization that calls its sales clerks "geniuses".

Re: iPhone 5
But then I'd just have a giant rooted slab of plastic that STILL didn't work as well as an iPhone.Captain Mazda wrote:

Terrible solution.
Re: iPhone 5
Nightshade, I'd root the phone if it changed the issues I had with it, but it won't. This is much like the windows vs mac debate. I don't inherently prefer macs, they just do what I need to do better than windows.
I've found the same with Android. I gave it a shot and found IOS suited my needs better.

lol i just realized that sys0p went out and paid retail for his s3 in this thread. yeah i take it back, people do do all the stuff you said...for apple and droid. that doesn't stop a douche from ranting about one or the other.Nightshade wrote:Of course I wasn't talking about the cost with a new contract, you'd have to be a blithering idiot to do that. Why the hell would anyone get a phone on contract if they could afford not to? The only legally binding agreements I'm tied to are my mortgage and my car.
£450 is nothing. I earn nearly double that a day.

Yes, we all understand that you're not very smart, no need to belabor the point now, is there? But, I assume you're going to continue yapping at sys0p for not being a destitute mong like yourself and calling everything I post that's more than two words a rant.EtUL wrote:

Or, perhaps you'll get a headache from trying to think up some sort of semi-coherent response, yell "LOL FUCK U GUYZ" (I mean rally yell it at your monitor, not type it in caps), and then wander off to watch, oh fuck, Geraldo re-runs or whatever it is morons watch these days.

Pretty sure it was a bit more than that but congrats! Just don't become an e-bore.

No, I really do think it's just twice. Once in this thread, which I think was justifiable, and once in the Geoff thread, which probably wasn't.HM-PuFFNSTuFF wrote:Pretty sure it was a bit more than that but congrats! Just don't become an e-bore.

A true kracus moment would've been to say I have a lot of cash and weed. A sys0p moment is actually proving it.GONNAFISTYA wrote:lol I remember the photo he posted flashing cash and weed. A true Kracus moment.

Really? I thought i read you say recently something about getting a posh new studio in a great part of town with parking and his and her bidets etc etc and how you were having people in every day and although it wasnt as prestigious ans working with the famous people you've been working with, it's still bringing in lots of dosh. And maybe some other stuff not sure though.0psys wrote:No, I really do think it's just twice. Puff, i'll be honest with you--that's pretty lame on your part. I feel bad that you would tie a business discussion with TNF into either of the two posts I made today. Don't reach, it's just weird.

Aaaaaand someone secure in their own skin wouldn't give enough of a shit to bring it up or point it out or even make a mental note of what that person said or did.HM-PuFFNSTuFF wrote:

For instance: I literally have no memory of anything you've ever posted. Because you don't matter to me on that level. Try to be more like me: Awesome (and successful, rich, etc...).

Well I'll be honest with you. There's probably a small part of me that is a bit jealous (but not unhappy for you). Also though you might not be aware of it but you seem on the fast track to being as bad as Geoff is; making moranic threads about how 'rich' he is every other day.0psys wrote:HM-PuFFNSTuFF wrote: Really?
