I will be going to Ecuador again in a couple of weeks. Also, there are 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe.

What prompted that?

Here is a page that says something different
Researchers have recently found that the observable universe is much larger than previously thought. According to a new study, the observable universe has two trillion more galaxies than researchers thought in the past.

Okay, there are 2.1 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. Happy with this more accurate number?

Sorry, didn't mean to sound dickish Whiskey, I was at work and trying to be brief. What I would have said if I wasn't rushing my post was: The previous estimate was 100 billion galaxies which is a HUGE number but it's tiny compared to 2 trillion. Funny how 100 billion becomes inconsequential (sort of) when the number gets revised to 2 trillion.

No problem and you picked the right word there, all of no consequence for certain

This weekend my son and I installed the front and rear speakers, ran the speaker / RCA cables to the back and installed the wiring for the second battery.

Re: What is new in your little world?

Monday AM just gone here. I've been doing some housework. I love cleaning especially in the heat, oh and we're having a heat wave here of sorts.

I say of sorts because I am high in an apartment complex by the ocean and we get lovely sea breezes most days :D so temperature predictions don't faze us too much. Poor buggers out west (central Queensland) are copping it :(

Thumbnails here FYI..

I think I mentioned air conditioning problems earlier herein. Well I was thinking 'endoscopes' as you do and wondered what was out there for the average Joe.

I was a little surprised to find one on ebay that said it could connect to my smart phone  I thought no way, but today the package arrived (from where else) and after some initial teething problems I got this little inspection camera working off my smartphone

Scary stuff. Like a spy camera it is so small :paranoid: Who would have thought!

Anyway, this is going to allow me to check out the voids in the AC ducting in my ceiling (behind that silver insulation covering) and see if the motors that drive the flap/valves are working or not

Just don't replace your A/C unit with "same / same" if it's larger than 5 tons.

Is your house two story, or do you just have vaulted ceilings? Or both?

I really like the way some two story houses look, so I’m mulling over wether that’s what I want when I build. But I plan to die in this house, and I really don’t like the idea of stairs when I’m 80. It’d be a lot of wasted space when I’m older...

I was going to say really nice work shaft as it clearly shows impressive carpentry skills. Did you pre-paint the white pieces? That paint work is quality too

Why did you go with thinner molding around the outside edges? One might think that should be the same width as the pieces returning to the walls?

Two story. I doubt I will live here that long, once my kids move out I will downsize.

I agree with Grandma... While the finish looks good, the execution was flawed...

Also... Who buys a house with an unfinished ceiling?... Poor ppl?...

Painted it on the ceiling. I built it with pre-primed poplar so I was able to get away just just two coats of bm satin impervo. I would normally spray it but its so high up the brush strokes don't even show. Finishing work is so tedious.
