Besides that, we have the right to ban anyone at any time for any reason.Turbanator wrote:Now I aint ran this place in years, and this isn't my forum anymore so I'm not going to tell anyone what to do, but clearing the T&C's of the forum do have the following pre-condition:

errr. and I wrote the original terms of use policy for UBB you plink. It was much more stringent that the phpbb terms which I couldn't be assed rewritting when we crossed platforms and allowed me to do pretty much anything with all any of the data stored on the server. Not to mention that when we transitioned to phpbb all the users were contacted informing them of the changes and the updated terms of use policy (it was the first time I got to use the e-mail all users button!MKJ wrote:turdbine signed up before this forum went phpbb3 (and its user agreement changed). so that makes it void

the old t&c's had loads of shit in them relating to UBB and the terms of use policy regarding the software platform and the rights that infopop had over the forum. you'd have to go through line by line and ammend the whole thing and it was about a page long, and with 40k odd users to import at the time, ammending the generic phpbb t&c's weren't exactly high priority.creep wrote:So if you had all the old data... you couldn't be arsed to copy/paste the TOU, only to bitch about it years later? I hope you learned a lesson there.

i know you did. these are not the exact same TOU though, and im pretty sure i never received any email about the upgrade to php3. i knew of, since it was discussed to great length in A&M. rofl?Turbanator wrote:errr. and I wrote the original terms of use policy for UBB you plink.
