I saw this french animated film "The triplettes from Belleville" yesterday. Very cool, no dialogue at all - only speech came from the radio or tv, but everything was very clear and understandable despite this. It was apparently nominated for 2 oscars, and it won the jury's prize at the Cannes film festival. I'll definitely recommend it - it's very different both from your standard Pixar/Disney stuff and from the anime/hentai/tentacle/bondage stuff I know you nerds collect. 9/10

funny, i saw that film this weekend too.
i give it a 7/10. Very good animation and style, but I have to mark it down because I felt fairly depressed afterwards.... something with the visual styles, setting, and theme all combined to do that on me.

I've seen som truly great movies lately. They all seem to be among the best I've ever seen. But I expected them to be that from what I've heard about them from friends etc..
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: 9.5/10
For a Few Dollars More: 9/10
Just bought these two. Waiting for the first movie in the series, For a Fistful of Dollars, and also A Fistful of Dynamite which I doubt are no worse than these two which truly are the best western movies I've seen and among the very best I've seen all together regardless of genre. Clint Eastwood is a great actor and Sergio Leone is a great director and storyteller.
Million Dollar Baby: 8/10
Also a fantastic movie. Clint Eastwood had the main character, direction and made the music for it. None of it was a letdown. If you haven't seen this you've missed out one of the best movies you'll see.
Fargo: 7/10
A weird movie to say the least. Very good though. I saw it when it was out, but it after a night of partying so I had a bad hangover and didn't really pay attention to it. Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare are class acts as always of course.
Total Recall: 7.5/10
After Terminator 2 and maybe Terminator, this is the best movie from Arnold I think. Bought it on DVD a few months ago. Had the movie on a normal DVD edition, a bonus DVD and a DVD with a HD 720p version of the movie. Well worth the buy.
Today I'm gonna see Sling Blade and Oldboy. Heard lots of good stuff about them, so not expecting to be disappointed.

Helps if you saw the first one
Heh. Starship Troopers was a cool action movie. I liked how it was made, the feel of, the atmosphere The sequel is so bad though. It's embarrassing to watch it really. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Don't forget Ennio Morricone for the overwhelming soundtracks for those movies (I absolutely don't understand, why this guy never got an Oscar). Imo the best Sergio Leone Western still is "Once upon a time in the west" (Music
also by Morricone).

True. Very good music.
Hm. I don't know how I really could have overseen that movie. I'll get hold if the DVD for sure =) Got an 8.8 on IMDb. His other four movies which I mentioned before was all around 8 which is a very high score on IMDb

Constantine, good effects, better story than I expected. Too predictable, and a little too much Keanu "Whoa." factor. He's one of those actors like Denzel Washington that seem to play the exact same character, no matter what the movie. Denzel's of course 100x the actor that Ted Theodore Logan is, though.
I give it a 7/10.

Name other movies you've seen you'd give a 10 out of 10.
Otherwise I will ignore your perfect score, rendering it meaningless.
