accept works fine but I think the intention was to use "expect" instead of except, but that would need the 'that' to be a to; the sentence makes more sense with expect as we don't 'expect' to see girl gamers.

With accept, your saying we don't accept them as they are beneath the male gamers. Two totally different meanings of the sentence.
