You can dislike something, that's fine, but not because of it's popularity. That just makes you an idiot imho.

Other than that, when I DO like a little bite or taste to my beer I enjoy drinking a little Olands Red. It's a dark beer that's really good I find. I don't like really dark beers like Guiness though that shits just gross.
No, people don't like it because it tastes like water with some alcohol splash. When you drink a full, real beer, you get the flavor of the ingredients. It's like comparing wine with koolaid-hunch-punch.
I like to taste the wheat and hops in my beer, the grains that make it, and I like a little bite to it. Full flavor. Sure it's more fattening, but I don't drink beer to lose weight. :icon32:

Bud Light for quality
Keystone Light for quantity

Red Stripe and Killians are both great but I rarely drink them.

To those of you that mentioned Fat Tire by New Belgium Brewry, thay also make Blue Paddel (A shit Lager) and Tripple. (Old Belguim Ale.) Triple is 7.8 ABV and smooth. Creamy yet not to heavy as you would think.

You guys that live for the better tastes also might want to get a bottle of Samual Adams Double Chocolate Boch (brewed seasonly just after xmas)

Chimay Grand Reserve is also one fine Ale From Belguim. Expensive but with the taste smells and potent 9.0% ABV well worth every penney.

Im glad to see you lot arnt a bunch of swill beer drinkers and that most of you have more class and knowledge about beers than I would have expected.

So as I uncork a Bottle of Chimay Grand Reserve tonight, I will hold my glass up to all of you that replied.

Cheers.

See it must have something to do with the enviroment where you grow up or something cause the thing I love best about Bud is exactly what you describe as it's weakness. I like it because it tastes very light, almost like water. To me it's like drinking a different kind of clear soda almost. Then there's the no aftertaste part which I like too.

I like a dark beer too though see so it all depends on my mood that day. However I won't drink any dark or light beers either, I like bud, I HATE lagers... I don't mind coors light and those new Canadian Cold shots are actualy kinda good too.

Good evening formaldihyde

I drink Milwaukee's Best Dry 5.9% from Miller.
When I was in the states I used to drink Chlitz, well, something like that and Bud.

I start drinking around 4PM till 12 usually around 6 to 8 beers.
That's like 4,000$CAD/year just around 1/2 of my mortgage payments.

Well, I don't go to bars anymore...I've done my time there, where
it was much more spending with coke and the ritual treats...
A night with cognac wisky and beers...200$ 300$ wasn't unusual.

Take Care!

To sum up, Kracus likes beer with no flavor and he hates lager although every beer he named as one he'd drink save one, is a lager.

Oh that kracus.

Well... someone mind telling me the difference then? Cause whenever I see a beer and it says lager right on the front (they almost always do) I always avoid them cause they taste shitty, like Alpine. And Budweiser along with a few other beers don't say it and they taste good. I never really asked to know what the difference is but I've always noticed I dislike the taste of any beer thats labeled as a lager.

It's still lager.

The difference between an ale and a lager is whether it's made with top fermenting or bottom fermenting yeast.

From the kind of beer you say you like, lager is right down your alley. (light taste, crisp, not fruity)

Yep. And it's not a matter of the environment I grew up in, it's a matter of personal taste and preference.

I honestly never even thought about it but the subject came up last friday. We were all sitting around drinking beer and a friend of mine who I should know better cause he's not too bright, said he hated lagers. He was drinking coors light and he said alpine was a lager and I looked at the bottle and noticed lager on it. So I looked at my bud and didn't find it anywhere and neither on the coors label. Then I found a keiths and it said lager again and I was like "oh maybe that's why I don't like these fucking beers" Guess it was just a coincidence.
