Considering the rest of the bullshit in your post, that last line is hilarious.

for me to argue with a noob like you will be like Carmak arguing with some stupid freshman CS student about game engines
even though i can crush you with my vast knowledge on the matter I will not waste the time on someone who i know has no real knowledge on the subject as I already spend a great deal of energy trying to discuss stuff like this with people that have PhDs.
Even within the modern warfare community where I follow the leading arguements on certain areas as a hobby there is nothing to debate about if China will lose to the USA "if" there was a 100% UNCONVENTIONAL war because its a matter of fact based on current conditions. The only debate remains in this area is how costly would it be for the USA to carry on such a war and what would be the most efficient method the USA should go about fighting. And even this is a very minor area of debate because it is pretty moot since there can never be a conventional war since both are nuclear powers.
I dont really talk about my life on these dumb forums but I have a BA in military studies from AMU and currently working at a masters while living off my earnings from a lawsuit and a few contracts as a programmer so screw off nooblet as its obvious you dont know what youre talking about.
You need to find a more current military studies course. Did you forget that Israel has been selling them OUR weapons technologies behind our back?stocktroll wrote:Tormentius wrote:stocktroll wrote:

WW2 Germany and Hitler's regime has been the subject of a research project I've been working on for about a 1-2 months now.[xeno]Julios wrote:Content Removed

what would China's standing army do after a barrage of missles destroying all of their military infrastructure, all their planes, all their ships? They certainly cannot try to go on the offensive and attack and will be stuck on the mainland trying to defend China from land invasion. But that requires massive troop mobilization and any large clusters of troops at a fixed position will be easily destroyed like sitting ducks. Sure they can all dissolve the army hide into the cities our countryside like punks and try and do guerrila warfare once the USA goes in, but at that point, they have technically already lost the war as far as a "USA vs China" perspective.werldhed wrote:Holy arrogance, batman!stocktroll wrote:Tormentius wrote:

I don't know anything about warfare and I don't pretend to. But since you seem to think of yourself as an expert, let me call you out on your earlier post. You claimed foot soldiers to be obsolete, but they play a very important role in any warfare. Most importantly, as a form of psychological warfare. China can launch missles at me all they want, and I can hide. I'd have a harder time hiding from a troop of dude with guns flushing me out of my home. Fear plays a big part of war.
Even your leaders have been shocked and very concerned at how fast China's military is modernizing and how much more efficient it is becoming. It's membership in the SCO and its increasing ties with Russia are quickly bringing about a major power shift in that part of the world. This is just the beginning but, by all means, if it makes your little ego feel better continue to keep your head in the sand.stocktroll wrote: And guess what? for the past 5 years or so China has been cutting down their army to invest in the high tech stuff because even they know a couple million of soldiers with preWW2 era--1970's weapons aint going to mean nothing when a cruise missle somes flying at them. Maybe in the next 6-10 years the capabilities will be different
