my argument is against yours stating( i think anyways) that sm3.0 fp16 openexr hdr is the one and only true hdr. openexr is only an industry standard file format. it has nothing to do with the quality of hdr. fp16 may even fade away as it uses to much power and in %99.9 of the time you don't need that much precision. i could even see nvidia pushing developers away from it until they can run fp16+aa like the new ati x1k series.SOAPboy wrote:And it dont do TRUE hdr..shadd_ wrote:not to flame here but you do know there is multiple ways to do hdr. don't be a victim of marketing.SOAPboy wrote:Turn off the HDR.. you have a 9800pro, its useless anyways as the card dont really do true HDR
edit: his 9800 pro is doing the same hdr as your 7800 in hl2 btw. there is no seperate hdr for different cards. hl2 hdr can do AA and hdr at the same time.
While it can do the lower end effects and simulate it, the card itself cant really HANDLE it..
Not hating, i owned a 9800pro, but yeah..
