Well I did joke about that to quadhore, not by pm though, but in RnR. In so doing, I was keeping it from being creepy and stalking like quadhores pm's were.

So generally we are talking about what you make out to be a serious issue in the most non-serious place on the forums? It may be the only neutral place here but still, the pm shit simply needs to be something between Drum, Quadhore and an admin and not something that flows over into just about every thread.
And also Drum, why do you care? This board requires a certain level of disregard for rights to function, not some equallity of rights.

To answer your 3 points.

I posted it here because after posting it in GD,
they swiftly moved it to RnR where of course,
all that would happen is shit talking. As a result
of the thread being here, it's proved a reasonable
success and has on the whole remained pretty civil.

I'd tried the admin route and had written to raw
by email a couple of times, no reply. Wrote to
doomer, no reply. That's why I thought I'd post
about it in public.

Regarding your final statement, I don't see
why anyone should feel obligated to disregard
things which not only break the rules but which
break the rules which can be regarded as the most
important, racism/anti-semitism. If the admins see
fit to tell people not to do this and not to do that,
ie, mag scans, porn, etc, then equally, I have the
same right to hold them to their own terms and
conditions. At least, in theory. There's enough
mods and admins at q3w to do these things,
I don't buy the crap about q3w being too hard
to run. Plenty of other messageboards with many
thousands of members get moderated very efficiently.
Either have rules or not, not this ' rules when it suits
someone' due to bias.

i dont think racist comments should be disallowed, im not saying i approve of them but i aint saying i havnt said anything racist in my life. at the end of the day they are only words and anybody should be able to express themselves wether you agree with it or not.

Points taken. But like I said, the only reason I made a fuss is because it became too creepy getting personal slurs by pm. Prior to those it was all happening in RnR and I had no intention of saying anything. A few weeks ago geoff was trolling me by pm, it just gets really stupid after a while. I don't totally agree about 'words' being ok but mag scans and porn not. If people are looking in to the forums and q3w is worried about those things being noted by those people in a negative way, would they not also be concerned about racist comments too? I dunno, I'm just asking. I would have thought they would be, and isn't that the reason that certain words are blocked?
