Disagreed. The new design is superior and functional. Foo is doing a great job. :)

Can someone please close this thread? It's not healthy for the project. We plan on supporting others games like QuakeWars, Prey, etc. Please just close this thread so we can move on.

Thank you. :)

Sorry no, with functional i understand i don't need to search for functions. The old design had things clean arranged, the new one have login at top, than the logo, a link to escapedturkey because the big banner at bottom is not enough, some navigation and than a search, all centered to the mid. I never seen a green-orange contrast especially where orange have more weight as green, normally its yellow and green with more weight.
I think community or private webpages don't need the uberdesign but this page looks like the first html pages ever made. :p

Goofos = KMG, Lenard, or one of their friends.

Let go already. Foo's design is awesome. :)

Nope, i'm not KMG or Lenard and they aren't my friends.
That was cheap, like the design.

Just give it up already. I don't care if you are lying or telling the truth. I simply don't care.

What concerns me more is that this topic hasn't been closed. Foo and I are investing a lot of resources into this project and its being disrespected by this retarded thread being stickied and kept alive. It's quite the slap in the face toward all the effort. It's tempting to shut it down, especially since instead of help or praise, we get humiliated in this 'void section'.

...

Can you explain me in more than 3 words why the design rocks?

Posted: Wed May 03, 2006 6:37 am
by iluvquake4
I am not going to explain anything to you. You are barely worth this reply. Have a nice day.

Your reaction was "Goofos = enemy", i think you know what you wrote before and now you tell me you dont care about it and i'm not worth because i said the design isn't good? Come down this is not the way to make good public relations.

This isn't your project. This isn't your issue. Stop trolling.

My last comment to you:

Mind your own business.

Omg, i only said "the old design was better as the new one", i explained you why i think this but your only answer is "fu" and i dont understand why? Its not my project but i uploaded some files because i thought this project is good. Now i think its stupid project with ppl cant deal with critics and nothing more to say like "Troll", "The design rocks", "You are not worth", "I dont care"...

Good bye, it make no sense discussing this with you.

If the criticism or trolling in a forum dedicated to flaming bothers you then just stop reading it.

Woah, this thread grew some since it left Q4D :)

I haven't kept up, but if anyone wants to offer criticism or suggestions about the site, design or functionality, whatever comes to mind, that would be very welcome. We can be reached on files@quake4world.com.

The current site design is the product of chatting to a few web designers and tweaking based on their suggestions, and their input has been really helpful... I'm still inexperienced in making pages attractive.

I'll save the public forum posts for discussing things people might want to read about, rather than silly internal politics and all that.

Cheers.

Wait, what the hell? I was going to ignore this whole thing, but what the fuck is this? Still inexperienced in making pages attractive? Then why did you even offer to screw with my code? That's all I wanted you to do in the first place and you didn't even know how! No wonder it looks like garbage and half the goddam functionality is broken now. You probably can't even follow my php. I should've trusted my instincts, I always got the feeling you had no idea what the hell you were talking about.

Once you give up just take it down, I'm not fixing it. Way to injure the community.

For that matter, now that I think about it, I can almost guarantee that between direct visits and downloads my site got more traffic than quake4world.com ever did. I knew I should've just bought the webspace for it. This goes to show you guys, NEVER WORK IN A TEAM WITHOUT CONTRACTS, LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES.

If foo is as bad in the sack as he is at webdesign I don't hold out much hope on him ever having kids :olo:

What a laughing stock, why don't you post another google thread :olo:

Was checking in this thread part of your strategy to 'ignore this whole thing'?

You're talking about working on a volunteer gaming mod so even if there was a contract you would have no hope of enforcing it. Next time maybe you and the other idiot should try talking with the people you have problems with directly rather than posting here and looking like a couple of whiny cunts.
