ah well, ill merge em or something..
Well since you've already dabbled with it it.

How would i go about making this dual boot?

Do I need to do any partition juggling myself before hand?

it would be the same as before, Partition it, then install..

windows itsself should change the MBR and make the boot loader to get both.

You'll need to make a seperate partition for it. I haven't installed it yet so don't know if vista does it or you need to do it with a seperate tool or not, but yeah, it needs to go into it's own partition. Dual boot should be a choice of either XP or Vista, if not you can do it manually with XP I believe. Not sure how though as I've always used either LILO or GRUB with linux for dual or triple boot.

And, ive read you SHOULD install vista on a DIFFERENT DRIVE.. As in, phyically different, not just a different partition..

Im gonna try a different partition first i think tho.. fuck it..

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I don't really either. I'm happy with XP and I think it would be a good OS for a few more years. But, then again, I would hate to lose out on the benefits that Vista would bring. When XP came out I was ready to ditch 98SE and yeah, ME. But XP seems more lively and able to last than the others.

I just plan on dedicating a partition to it, nothing major until satisfied one way or the other. Can be deleted later.

So does it really need 15GB of free space to install?

If so then I will have to use my other drive... My C:\ is a 20GB with only windows and applications installed on it, and a 1GB partition for the pagefile.

…And I just got the big one the way I like it… >:E

Amd 64 3200+ @ 2.5ghz,

i am trying once more, and if it dosent work i am clocking it down to 2.0ghz and trying it again.

its kinda funny though, it took 72 hours of prime95 with no hickups and i would rather NOT Clock it back down.
