How would i go about making this dual boot?

You'll need to make a seperate partition for it. I haven't installed it yet so don't know if vista does it or you need to do it with a seperate tool or not, but yeah, it needs to go into it's own partition. Dual boot should be a choice of either XP or Vista, if not you can do it manually with XP I believe. Not sure how though as I've always used either LILO or GRUB with linux for dual or triple boot.Bdw3 wrote:Well since you've already dabbled with it it.SOAPboy wrote:Well.. split drive 1.. after some file moving, gotta split drive 2..

And, ive read you SHOULD install vista on a DIFFERENT DRIVE.. As in, phyically different, not just a different partition..
Im gonna try a different partition first i think tho.. fuck it..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

I don't really either. I'm happy with XP and I think it would be a good OS for a few more years. But, then again, I would hate to lose out on the benefits that Vista would bring. When XP came out I was ready to ditch 98SE and yeah, ME. But XP seems more lively and able to last than the others.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:but i don't wanna upgrade![]()

Prolly.. it used about 9 gigs off 30..Bdw3 wrote:So does it really need 15GB of free space to install?
If so then I will have to use my other drive... My C:\ is a 20GB with only windows and applications installed on it, and a 1GB partition for the pagefile.
…And I just got the big one the way I like it…![]()
Oh, and it magicly took, Z (vista install) And made it C, and changed C to D, while inside fo vista..
Damn this is nice..
Worked fine for me..scourge34 wrote:I just plan on dedicating a partition to it, nothing major until satisfied one way or the other. Can be deleted later.

Im digging it.. thumbs up microsoft
