Just as long as he doesn't post about the book here, it might be perceived as bragging.

I'd say go with the 7950. It's like an SLI in one version of the 7900 series, and besides the performance, with 1GB of video RAM on it you can boast to people like me who still have only 1GB of system RAM :icon32:

1 GB on that card is only 512 MB effectively, as each chip stores it's information seperately.

This is causing a great deal of confusion to my stereotypical perception of male-on-male bonding... does the asslicker_get_the reacharound, or give it?

Yes I suppose, but more to the point was that you can boast about it still to the untrained observer :p Anyhow, looking at benchmark results, it only really gives the kind of performance you'd expect from a 7900 SLI system, so it just depends if you think it's worth the extra money over the 7900GTX (or even GT), or if you like to look good by having the beefy tech :icon34:

I don't think NVidia has released Quad GPU drivers to the public yet.

Dose anyone know if you can run dual monitors on the 7950?

I'm pretty sure you can. Even all the cheapo low-end consumer stuff can do it.

are there really any good PC games that are out/coming out that justify a 600 dollar graphics card? i've always thought that the latest and greatest video card prices are ridiculous.

then again, im still playing starcraft these days :icon34:

I only ask the question because the 7950 is suppose to be an SLi configuration on one card. And SLi doesn't support dual monitors.

I see you two finally found your way, just as I predicted.

The list of aggravated internerds is complete.

Searching around quickly, this article reckons you cannot run dual monitors unless you disable SLi mode on it (which I guess would leave you with 7900GT sort of performance).

Commenting on stupidity where its seen doesn't equal aggravation Gramps. You treat this like its something new, but people have commented on you acting like a jackass for years.

i have to say all gramps did was ask which card should he get. most of us have enough money to buy something like this on a whim, some of us have posted new shit on here from time to time, so i don't see the issue. i mean, the last thing gramps posted was over a year ago ffs.

PS, he has picked everyone of you apart, own7.

Another reason to get the 7900 GTS instead.

Well shit, that sucks. I'll look into it a little more tonight when I have some time.

BTW, wasn't Nvidia suppose to come out with drivers that enabled dual monitors in SLi on the newer cards? :icon8:
