I absolutely love Hotel California; it reminds me of when I was younger and travelling in Europe, but as far as I understand it, The Eagles just ain't cool any more

I dunno, I like a lot of Elton John, Sheryl Crow and Jewel. Is that embarrassing?
edit: Great, now I'M alternately humming Don't Bring me Down and Take On Me.
What's worse than getting a song stuck in your head on repeat? Getting multiple songs stuck in your head - and when you think you've managed to get away from the one that was stuck.... surprise! you're just stuck on a different one, the other one will return in due time.

Slayer is a pretty extreme type of metal. I don't really listen to much of it myself, but I think most folks classify it as either extreme or death metal. I don't really like the chromaticness of all their shit. And their solos just piss me off. I'll admit the guys have tons of technical skill... just the way they use it doesn't float my boat.

there are waaay more extreme stuff out there than Slayer

that is my major quip with the genre. they think guitar playing is just about virtuosity, nothing more. ie (run up and down pentatonic scales as fast as you possibly can and everone thinks ur amazing).

clearly you listen to the wrong metal
